"We don't "own" the memorials we manage - they are not ours. We may create them, we may update them, we may transfer them to others - we are but stewards. They are Find A Grave memorials of human beings, departed. They are not "friends" on a social media network website to be collected like baseball trading cards. And there's no prize for the one who dies with the most. |
The reward (for me) comes from maintaining the most accurate and dignified memorials I can. What we record becomes history, and a record in someone else's family tree. We have a responsibility to do a good job of it. It's a privilege and honor." -- Jeff Gonyea

|Phil NC||THANK YOU|
Brian... I just wanted to thank you and the others that maintain the Atwood memorials in Callahan County... William Francis Atwood and Hannah Emaline Cravens Atwood are my Great Grandparents on my fathers side... I have been doing family genealogy for over 50 years... and I must say there is a lot of "online" info that is extremely inaccurate... thanks for the dedication to maintaining the integrity of this site... PHIL
P.S. Are you related to any of the folks on the site... if so... glad to meet a new relative.. P

I am trying to find the burial place for Flora Atwood-Bellar # Unknown (and her husband Lois E. Bellar,) who is a daughter of Dan and Ada Underwood Atwood.
Flora and her husband Lois E. Bellar are listed with Dan and his family in the 1940 census in Pioneer, Eastland County, Texas.
Lois E. is a brother of Reese Bellar my br-in-law. I have made just a Memorial Page for Lois.E, as I do not know where they are buried. # 161749294.
Would appreciate some help on this is you have any information, and also on their daughters, Pauline and Lois M. They lived in Cross Plains when I was a girl and we visited them some. Thanks so much. Charlene
|KaysRoots||RE: Edits for (#42842032)|
Brian: You are right - the parents listed on my bio & his death certificate were Andy (Andrew) Price & Mattie (Annie Elizabeth) Norvell. I hesitated because Martha Ann E. Price (17688395) has no maiden name on her memorial. I will link them to Albert but will not add the middle name of Johnson unless you come up with a legal document that has his middle name on it.
I do not add information that only comes from "family trees".
Brian: You sent edits for Albert Price (#42842032) which would link his father, mother, and then you show a middle name of "Johnson". I am very much aware that death certificates are many times incorrect, but can you tell me where you found the information for the edits you have ask me to correct on Albert's memorial?
Thank you for your interest.

I agree with you and I work very hard to find information for all the Memorials I add. I do this out of respect for the lives they lived and for their families that come later so they can find out something about their ancestors. I especially like the older obituaries because they have so much about the deceased life.
