RE: photos
Thank you Shannon for the use of your photos. I don't know if it would be of interest to you or if you are related to anyone in the Gates Cemetery, but I am adding a bunch of obituaries. I am related to the Gates Family through marriage. A Gates married my Great Grandmother when her first husband died, my grandfather died. I kept running across all these obits of others in the Gates Cemetery, so just started adding them to the memorials.

Carrie Erickson & Ole Erickson
I'm looking for more information about descendants to Carrie Erickson (1855-1910) and Ole Erickson (1854-1912). Ole was a distant relative of my wife.
Ole and Carrie was born in Norway and also married there. They got only one child living up (Andrew Erickson 1884-1969) and this child got 5 children. Perhaps you know anything about them ?

Thank you for taking and posting the photo of Alvin Lewis #43321836. Would it be OK with you if I post it, with credit, to my family tree?

James Eli Robb
Hi, Shannon--I have walked the Eagan Cemetery in Marion Co, IL, twice, and cannot find James Eli Robb, although there are a few unreadable stones. But I notice there is a James Eli Robb listed in Shanghai Cemetery, also in Marion Co., with the same birth and death dates, and wife Martha. Could this be the same person? You can check it out and maybe solve one more mystery.

RE: Harriss
You're welcome! I'm glad I could help you out.

I don't know if I'm related to those Hutsons you mentioned or not. It's quite possible they could be related somewhere down the line, as my spelling isn't nearly as common as "Hudson". However, several generations back my family name was spelled with a "d" as well. In my line, it was my G-G-G-G Grandfather Chamberlain whose name was first spelled with a "t". As much as I hate it when people automatically spell my name with a "d" unless I spell it for them, it was fascinating to find out that it actually WAS spelled that way at one time!
