Bio Photo Hi My name is Desi "thats what my grandma used to call me" I was recently forced into retirement, which has turned out to be a blessing. I love it...more time to be with my husband and work on my family tree. Washington Co. and Columbia Co. are the nearest to me but I am willing to go anywhere in the West Oregon and Southwest Washington areas... This will be fun. Thanks Desi....

RE: Moore
Hi. I was reviewing old messages and am not certain if I replied to yours. Knox Polk was a common "middle name" for males born around 1845 because the current president at the time was James Knox Polk. I've seen the trend of naming sons after presidents during the 1800s. Hope this helps. Thanks.

Thanks for the tip. Thanks for the kind words.
I shall make me a little bag to keep in the car.
If you need any more help, let me know.
I will update you on the Cemetery when I hear from the Cemetery Association.

Oscar Moore
I have checked for him so many times. I thought maybe,I'm missing it.
There is no caretaker. Nor is there a Military section.
I am trying to get in touch with the Pleasanton Cemetery Association.
This place needs help.
30% of the stones are in the ground and or on there way in there. I dug one out with my hands, just to see the name on it.
I can't even find his wife's stone which has a picture of it already.
I'll leave his name and everyone else's there too.

Oscar Moore
Hi Desi,

I was wondering could Oscar have been buried with a different first name?
I have been looking for him and I can't find his name any where.
Have you seen his death certificate? Does it state he is buried there, with the name Oscar?
Not trying to bother you just trying to find Oscar.

RE: Bio
Desi, This is a great pastime and I really enjoy it when I can help others find family and add to memorials. Almost all are appreciative of our efforts and it restores our faith in mankind! If there are other relatives you may think are in Seneca City, but aren't listed, let me know and I'll see if I can find them. :) Luella

RE: Newton & Beauford Hanks
This was my third trip to find them. I went out in the summer but it was very overgrown. When I went out today, I photographed every headstone in the cemetery and I added all the headstones I could identify to Find A Grave. I also added all names in the Maury County Cemetery Index that was not on Find A Grave. Check the site again, you may find someone else that you need. Checkout C.S.Hanks - I do not know if this is one of your family, but according to the Maury County Cemetery Index, it is the oldest grave in the cemetery.
