I was born in Gadsden, Alabama, in 1981. I currently live in Bettendorf, Iowa, with my wife, two kids, three rodents, five guppies, and one cory catfish. I'm an amateur actor, and sometimes professional theatre technician. I'm an organizer and writer/director for a semi-regular living history event in local historic cemetery Oakdale Memorial Gardens. I am also in the process of nominating Oakdale to the National Register of Historic Places.|
I'm also a genealogy buff, researching the following families:
Crow/Crowe, Couch, Oliver, West, Fenn/Fann, Humphries, Fleming, Scott, Petree/Petri, Mayer, Zimmerman, Smith, Sevier/Xavier Goode/Good/Goad, Ray, Henry, and McKeme (?) in the Southeast U.S. (AL, TN, NC, GA, VA, SC, AR) New England (PA, MA), England, France, Germany, Scotland, Ireland, and Spain.
Hatton, Doyle, Green, Fritsch, and Thomas in the Midwest (MO, IL, KY), Virginia, Ireland, and Germany.
I am also willing to do limited genealogical research in Scott County, Iowa. E-mail me for info.

|wildflower||Photo Request for Sarah V Bean|
Dustin: If you are near Oakdale Memorial Gardens, in Scott, Iowa, would you please take a picture of Sarah V. Bean's
tombstone? Or, perhaps, if you are familiar with the group who did the group survey, you might inquire as to a guess of the year of death.
Our Sarah V. Bean would have died about 1886.
Thank you for posting your photo of the sign "Oakdale Memorial Gardens".

Thank you for adding the photo for the Peck family.
Even though Findagrave's policies have changed now that ancestry.com owns Findagrave, I still ask the photographer for permission to use a gravestone photo in my family tree on ancestry. If it is okay with you, I will use that photo as Robertson's profile picture. I will give you as the photographer and the memorial's web site as the source.

Dustin first let me thank you for the work you do at Oakdale Cemetery.
Then I would like to ask you if there is anyway the Photo of Oakdale can be changed for my memorials. The green one which has Pet Cemetery is the one that will be posted to memorials.
Is there any way I or you can change this to the one with the name and gate, which is more historial?
I can only send a message on this site because Ihave a old machine.

Good afternoon. I am an amateur historian and Civil War buff. I am presently helping with a project to locate last resting places of C.W.veterans with Vermont C.W. ties. I would like to ask if I may use the photo of Milton Cochran's marker you posted on Find A Grave site, on the Vermont Civil War site" www.vermontcivilwar.org".
Thank you for your consideration on this.
