"We don't "own" the memorials we manage - they are not ours. We may create them, we may update them, we may transfer them to others - we are but stewards. They are Find A Grave memorials of human beings, departed. They are not "friends" on a social media network website to be collected like baseball trading cards. And there's no prize for the one who dies with the most. |
The reward (for me) comes from maintaining the most accurate and dignified memorials I can. What we record becomes history, and a record in someone else's family tree. We have a responsibility to do a good job of it. It's a privilege and honor." -- Jeff Gonyea

Hi Brian, I appreciate the parental links for this memorial; it's evident the parents moved far away and you've brought them together. Thanks,
|Nancy Arnold Thompson||Julius Wagner, #147970856|
I noticed that you have done some work on the Wagner family. Are you sure Julius and Margaret (Coyle) Wagner are in Riverview Cemetery? I have an Excel spreadsheet prepared by Riverview Cemetery and don't see either of them listed there. The cemetery didn't open until around 1909 or 1910. If Margaret is buried there, she had to have been disinterred and moved there. I have an obituary for a Mrs. Julius Wagner indicating she died in 1885 and is buried in Woodland-Old City Cemetery. I created a memorial for her there, #138887128. I'm thinking this must be Margaret. I can find no evidence that Julius married twice.

Thank you for your recent entry of Mary Laney Mitchell Jones in Highland Cemetery. I also located her death record and am working on finding a burial location. I am sure there is no gravestone since the cemetery has been inventoried 3 times since 1995.
I do not believe she is buried in Sect 91 with her parents since that plot was bought bought in 1914 when her mother died. I am looking at W 1/2 of Blk 4 Sect 82 which was bought about the time she died in 1912 and is listed as T J Jones.
I have trf your relative to you and hope you will have additional information to add to the memorial..
I searched, but was unable to locate dc or obit. Thanks, Slick

|Phil NC||THANK YOU|
Brian... I just wanted to thank you and the others that maintain the Atwood memorials in Callahan County... William Francis Atwood and Hannah Emaline Cravens Atwood are my Great Grandparents on my fathers side... I have been doing family genealogy for over 50 years... and I must say there is a lot of "online" info that is extremely inaccurate... thanks for the dedication to maintaining the integrity of this site... PHIL
P.S. Are you related to any of the folks on the site... if so... glad to meet a new relative.. P

I am trying to find the burial place for Flora Atwood-Bellar # Unknown (and her husband Lois E. Bellar,) who is a daughter of Dan and Ada Underwood Atwood.
Flora and her husband Lois E. Bellar are listed with Dan and his family in the 1940 census in Pioneer, Eastland County, Texas.
Lois E. is a brother of Reese Bellar my br-in-law. I have made just a Memorial Page for Lois.E, as I do not know where they are buried. # 161749294.
Would appreciate some help on this is you have any information, and also on their daughters, Pauline and Lois M. They lived in Cross Plains when I was a girl and we visited them some. Thanks so much. Charlene

Brian: You are right - the parents listed on my bio & his death certificate were Andy (Andrew) Price & Mattie (Annie Elizabeth) Norvell. I hesitated because Martha Ann E. Price (17688395) has no maiden name on her memorial. I will link them to Albert but will not add the middle name of Johnson unless you come up with a legal document that has his middle name on it.
I do not add information that only comes from "family trees".
Brian: You sent edits for Albert Price (#42842032) which would link his father, mother, and then you show a middle name of "Johnson". I am very much aware that death certificates are many times incorrect, but can you tell me where you found the information for the edits you have ask me to correct on Albert's memorial?
Thank you for your interest.
