|Old records do have errors. If you find any errors or duplicates or have additional information for any memorial I've posted, please don't hesitate to send me a Correction/Suggestion from the EDIT tab. I'll be glad to make corrections/additions/links. Please make sure the links have the memorial # referenced. |
My main goal is to preserve as much historical data as possible by filling in the blanks on the www.findagrave.com database with correct information. Once we are gone, it may be lost forever unless we record it for prosperity.
TRANSFERS: With any Find A Grave memorial that I maintain, if you are a closer relative than I, I will transfer. If I have no connection and you have some connection (even friendship), I will transfer. Please contact me through the EDIT tab.
*PLEASE BE NICE*. I enjoy doing genealogy and am more than happy to help people. If there is a problem, KINDLY let me know. I have had some very nasty responses from other "historians" and it is uncalled for. Please just contact me and let me know the problem.

I DO appreciate your work. Susannah is my 4th g-grandmother. I have a lot of info on her. She was born 26 April 1745 in Virginia or Pennsylvania. Her parents were John and Mary Gibson; so her maiden name was Gibson.
She married my 4th g-grandfather, David Lay, Sr. abt. 1758 in Caswell County, NC. They had about 14 children!!! Grandpa David Lay, Sr. died about 1815.
She DID come to Kentucky in 1818 with her son, Burrell and family. She would have been about 73 years old then. She married Peter Higgins 14 Nov 1825. She was probably about 80 years old then!!!!
I have visited both the Higgins Cemetery and the Freedom Church Cemetery trying to locate their graves. I have pictures of his tombstone. Did she have a stone, and was she moved, too? I would appreciate it if you could change the info on Susannah Gibson Lay Higgins site.
Thanks again. My e-mail is: LittleRedHen0730@cs.com.

Hi, yes you may use the photos for your Ancestry site. The markers look new and must of been recently placed.

Sorry I didn't get to this earlier; I was out of town, camping with my wife. No Wi-Fi and no laptop...awesome.
Thank you for transferring maintenance control of the Methling memorial pages at Oak Hill Cemetery. Your thoughtfulness is deeply appreciated.
Have another great day,

You sent me an edit for August Brosch's (Find A Grave Memorial# 148016276) biography which gave the information about his son's marriage to Cora Lawrence. Wouldn't this be more appropriate to add to Cora's memorial (Find A Grave Memorial# 80949063)? I couldn't find an existing memorial for his son, August Jr.
