Nancy, this is my great great grandfather. I see that you have added a duplicate memorial for him. Are you, by any chance, related to him? I have been to his grave site along with his wife's, Unity Tucker Moore. So, his body was not destroyed. Please remove your memorial. Thank you very much for your kind consideration of my request.

Wow that is so interesting! So I guess we are cousins somehow. I am related to Guy and Anna Belle as follows.
Guy & Anna Belle Roulston, great grandparents
Vannie Slaten, great grandma
Lindel Bates, grandpa
Beverly Snitker, Mom
I dabbled my toes in genealogy when my daughter was a baby then took a long hiatus after my son was born. I mostly have information for close relatives, but if you are looking for information along our branch let me know and I will see what I can find out.
|Casey Allison||Thank you|
Thank you for adding Anna Belle Rainwater to Find A Grave, she was my great-great grandmother.

Thank you for the correction.

Nancy. First, I apologize if I have offended you. Yes, there are issues here that I have inadvertently contributed to. There are others who have contributed to this issue as well. I am busy working on other issues than this one, as well, that I am trying to get cleaned up. I would hope you'd prefer to contribute than inhibit and seek to blame.
The J.B. Wolfe is a record that was inserted by another who is not in the family who based the Find A Grave record addition off of the Frederick cemetery records that (also) exists online at OKGENWEB. That record is not complete as J.B. is the plot for Fannie Clora, not Uncle Blythe (BTW - there are actually two "Joseph Blythe" in our family this adds to confusion as well). The record you are relating as the father (#112270547) for Beatrice will be deleted since record #112270626 is more complete will be easier to maintain going forward. If you look down the list of entries on the cemetery records you will find that here and with other families, the husband's name is spelled out fully and their wife is the husband's initials. I suspect both plots were purchased at the same time at the death of the husband and the wife died after their husband. The records were never updated at burial.
I'm glad we are indirectly related and that you care about validating of source information. Family should be taking care of family. I too have been trying to fill in the gaps within our family history and properly document as well as cross validate sources. One source I am having to rely on is a publication "The Tender Pioneer" which was a publication only released to Wolfe family members and was compiled by my father's cousin along with Nola Wolfe Anthony. Nola is the oldest sister of Joseph Blythe who lived the majority of her adult life in Frederick. She and her husband raised her siblings after both her parents died in Archer County Texas. My mission for maintaining our family history is to reconcile what is published in that family publication which does not have source citation detail with public records as well as maintain the current generation. Where public records appear to be fuzzy, I rely on the family publication, though in part, based on verbal accounts and common knowledge for that respective generation.
While public records are one point for validation, it can be incomplete or at best close to the truth (e.g. census records can be quite fuzzy). According to the older family members who compiled "The Tender Pioneer", they list Beatrice's full name as Estelle Beatrice Wolfe Matthews. She was born Nov 29, 1902 and died Oct 11, 1925. You show only the year 1903 for birth and Oct 13, 1925 as the death date. It looks to me your source for the birth is an estimation from a census record. The source for death is likely from the cemetery records which reflect the burial date.
If you would, please make these corrections to Beatrice Wolfe Matthews. I will be deleting record #112270547 (J.B. Wolfe) in a day or two, preferably after your correction for the father is made. I would really like to work with you in the future as we both maintain our shared family heritage and history.

Hi Nancy. I am managing the Wolfe family records in the Frederick Cemetery. You have a Beatrice Wolfe Mathews (#89051961).
There is a bit of a mess with J.B. Wolfe whom you have related as a father. That record is not what it should be. It is what is listed on the cemetery records which is actually the plot of mother Fannie Clora Cavins Wolfe. The father should be Joseph Blythe Wolfe (#112270626). Also, her first name is Estelle, born Nov 29, 1902.
If you'd like, I would welcome the transfer of Estelle Beatrice Wolfe Mathews record. I am the great-great grandson of John Andrew and Sara Jane Hunter Wolfe of whom Joseph Blythe Wolfe is son and whom Fannie Clora Cavins Wolfe was second wife.
I am responding to a note that you left for my dear friend, Alice Martin LaRue. By any chance, have you heard from her? I have not been able to reach her for over 2 years now, and I fear that she either has passed away or is in a situation where she no longer has access to her Find A Grave family. I just wanted you know so you didn't think she was ignoring you.

Good Morning. My son and I photograph out at Pacific Crest for Find A Grave regularly. We noticed that Hazel had obviously, very recently passed away. We photograph Hazel and her husbands marker so we could add it to Find A Grave. I found two memorials for Hazel. Although yours includes a much more information, it is a duplicate to one that had previously been created, information below:
Created by: D K Railsback B
Record added: Jan 16, 2011
Find A Grave Memorial# 64259903
Rightfully, if you are a family member, you should request that DK Railsback transfers the memorial she created to you. You then add important info and link to that memorial and delete the duplicate...the one you created. Of course it would be easier if DK's could be deleted but that is not my call. I will tell you that DK Railsback is always willing to transfer to family. We've seen this before and if you explain your relation and ask nicely, she'll transfer you your family members memorial, which could include Hazels husbands memorial.
Until that all happens I want every grave to be photographed. I'm uploading images we took yesterday. We don't want to hog image slots so once you get the memorial and you may want to add your own images, just let me know. I'll happily headstone images if you want to place your own.
