Bio and Links
I have been doing family history research since completing a cub scout merit badge over 30 years ago. As a teen, I began walking and cycling through area cemeteries, noting familiar surnames and wondering if they were related. In high school, I helped a friend's grandmother work on her family history, as she had trouble reading what she had typed. This was "old school" genealogy - collecting and trading books, writing letters to genealogy societies, and contacting various relatives by telephone and mail. Times have changed!

I am also a licensed Amateur Radio operator. Licensed as KA9HTW in 1980 (Novice), upgrading to Advanced class in the spring of 1981. Later upgraded to Extra class, changing my call to WQ9T. I work as a journeyman electrician, and am a member of IBEW local 34, Peoria, for over 25 years. Former member UFCW. I have been married for over 22 years, with two children.

Please advise your source for parent. The data base that we have seen lists her maiden name as Bates. Thank you.

Anthony Parker
Transfer of Parker Cemetery
Dear Richard:

I am a member of findagrave.com, #49315110. Concerning the Parker Cemetery #1 on Coral Hill Rd. near Franks Mill Rd, that is my families cemetery. My name is Anthony D. Parker. My father is Horace Clifton Parker, my grandfather is Horace Parker, my grandmother is Verda Parker, all buried there. My great-grandmother and my great-great-grandparents, along with several uncles, an aunt, and a few cousins are also buried there. I recently added a grave page for my older brother, Clifton Palmore Parker, who died when he was 3 days old in Dec. 1941. His grave is unmarked.

I am age 70, retired, and now have the time to devote to my family ancestry which I love doing. You may not like transferring memorial pages and I will understand if you don't want to do it. But I would greatly appreciate if you would. I live in Louisville now, but I was born at home, just a few paces from that cemetery. In my great-grandmothers, Alice Harper's house that is now gone.

I also have close relatives in Parker Cemetery #2, and in the Hurt-Defevers Cemetery on Tick Ridge Rd.

Best regards;
Anthony Parker

119864778 Madge Bennett Wilson
Richard, what is your source for Madge's full name being Amanda Elizabeth and nickname being Madge? Grave marker reads Madge and so does her obituary.

Thank you, Kaye Harkins McClintock #47734417

Adaline Curtis Ferrington
Hello, On the bio of Adaline Curtis Ferrington you tell of how she was taken to the Kankakee insane asylum. And you mention her death certificate. I am trying to find out more about Adaline. Do you happen to know why she was put into the asylum. Does the death certificate have any information about it. Do you have a copy of the death certificate. Any information that you could offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!
