I live in Maplewood Missouri.|
I can go to several cemeteries for pictures.
Please let me know if we can help. My helper is my 13 pound dog Lola who chases the birds and other critters around while I look for tombstones.
My family names that I am working on are Strang, Durham, Franks, Ing/Inge, Pickering, Marlow, Gonia, Bridges, Asher, Abbott, Tucker, Burgoon, Godwin, Sharp, Bothman, Bull and several more.

Thank you for the transfer! I've updated her information.
Could you do me another favor? Could you review your information on her and check a few things. (1) you had her year of birth as 1878 - was that calculated, listed in cemetery records or on the grave marker? (2) you have a note in her bio, "Marker says Theola Wachtel who is a brother and buried in Oak Grove Cemetery". Is that a quote from the marker? Could it have been "Wife of TW ....? (3) The photo on the memorial looks like it reads "Theola Wachtel". I am perplexed by this (and the "brother" aspect) as Theola was buried 23 yr later in another cemetery - did they add an engraving to the grave marker to say he wasn't there?
Thanks for considering this. These are not significant issues but the loose threads stimulate my compulsive behavior and pique my curiosity.

Received your reply and have gone thru the only two cemetery books I have dated 1992 & 1993 Perry County Cemeteries Townships 4-1, 4-2, 4-3, 4-4, and 5-1 and 5-2. These cover the all cemeteries in the top of the county and the 2 townships along the highway from Pinckneyville towards Sesser to the County line. He is not listed in Nine Mile, Holts Prarie, Marlow, Campbell, Tamaroa (all 3 sections) and the Catholic Cemetery near Tamaroa.
Books do not cover Pinckneyville and Du Quoin but I do not think they (he and wife) would have been buried there. What do you think?
