I am a native of Cabell County, WV, born and raised, and a 1998 graduate of Marshall University with a BSN in nursing. I have been blessed with 3 children and 8 beautiful grandchildren.|
Of all the things I take pleasure with, genealogy is my passion. It has been my hobby for over 25 years. In 1997, I volunteered to coordinate the Cabell County, WVGenWeb at Rootsweb.com. I can't post the cemeteries I've read fast enough on FindAGrave.
Most of my entries on FAG were done before they added the update to link parents and spouse. I work on adding this information every day. Please DO NOT take the photos I've posted and add them to your family tree on Ancestry.com. These are my photos and taking them without my permission is stealing and against the law. Please do no post death certificate taken from WV Culture web site to my entries on FAG.

|Vicky Woodrum||Hurricane Cemetery|
I noticed that you took a picture of the Hurricane cemetery. Hope that you can help me solve some sort of mystery. I have an old receipt from the Office of Town Council dated October 25, 1924. Hurricane West Virginia. It says received of Mrs. B.R. Lowden (Louden) $5.00 for west half of lot no. 4, section. I visited the cemetery a while back but did not see a stone. Would you know of a way to find records for a Burl Raymond Lowden (Louden). He is my husbands grandfather and I have been lost to find out anything about him. I live out of state so would appreciate any help...

the death date you have for her is incorrect.
according to her death certificate and her death notice she died 23 Sep 1917.
Her maiden name was Birchfield. parents were John Henry and Matha Billups Birchfield.
Robert Gwinn was her second husband. he was married first to Alonzo Porter.

Have a great day.
|Diane Vinson-Childers||Frank B. "Bay" Gebhardt|
Union Ridge. Can you transfer him to me. I think he was the son of John B. Gebhardt. We are still working on this. This info might be wrong. Don't know which John as there were 3. I don't want to keep pestering you with this. We are family and are still trying to figure them out. Jeremy Foster and Vanessa Grimes-Hamilton, her mother Lurlene Cummings-Grimes and me. Lurlene is in her 90's and the last one left. Her mother was a Gebhardt and she was raised by Albert and Mamie Winters-Gebhardt. She remember's a lot by this.
Thank you! Diane

|Kay (Carico) Wilson||Charles Carico and Anna (Bancroft ) Carico|
My cousin sent me the obituaries of her mother and father, Charles Thomas Carico and Anna Lee (Bancroft) Carico.
Could you please turn my Aunt and Uncle over to me so I can add their obituaries? If not, I can scan their obituaries to you and let you add them.
My cousin does not know how to use a computer and she would like to get this done. Someone pulled up the Find a Grave site and showed it to her.
Thank you. Any help you can give me would be appreciated.
I wanted to ask, if you wouldn't mind transferring 3 memorials to me.
All 3 are grandparents and great-grandparents of my husband.
