Do you happen to know Arline Beatty Spedden and Melcine Ellen Gaughan's sister's information? I have no idea what her name was when she passed or when she passed. Virginia ___________

The man listed above for which you have written a memorial is my grandfather. Could you please add the names of the 3 children he left behind? Jo Ann, Michael, and Dante.

I transfered her memorial to you. I don't care how distant a relationship is - family is family and I know you'll take good care of this memorial. If I can do anything else, please let me know. Regards, Suki Davey

Information regarding Ralph John Brennan

I found this website from a link on with a reference to my uncles grave in the Philipines.

I wanted to thank you and anyone else that helps with the management of this information and also update the information on file for my uncle.

Here is the information I would like to have added:

B:16 Apr 1919 in Springfield, Massachusetts, USA
D:06 May 1942 in Fort William Mckinley, Manila, The Philippines (23 years old) He fought in the Battle of Manilla Bay,( Battan and Corregidor) At the time of his death he was assigned to the Marine 1st Battalion, on Corregidor(tail of the rock area). FOr 2 days the men fought the Japaneese invaders off, but without reinforcements or ammunition, the men perished in hand to hand combat. His remains were never found.

My grandmother was unaware of his death for 2 years, he was presumed Missing In Action until Jan 28, 1944 when a Purple Heart was presented.

I was at the cemetery yesterday. The staff was kind enough to spend sometime checking this for me... They confirmed that there was no headstone. I asked for the name on the next grave over and confirmed I was at the right location so that I was at least able to provide a picture of the grave and location within the cemetery....

RE: Margaret Opalski
No problem... next time out, I'll try to take the photo... I should have done so when I was there! I'm fairly familiar with the cemetery and was sure I was at the right spot. Also, I seem to recall seeing "O'Neill" when I was there...

Margaret Opalski
I will be visiting the Bucks County Historical Society tomorrow and will attempt to do a cross-reference on Margaret Opalski to find where she is buried.

I wanted to thank you for taking the time to photograph this stone for me. Would you mind if I added the image to my family tree?
