I became interested in my family roots while helping my daughter on a class project about genealogy. I didn't start my actual research until a few years later, but have now been involved in 19 years of active research and there's no sign of an end to it.|
Since joining Find-A-Grave, it has led to the discovery of so many more relatives that I would probably never find without the kind efforts of so many others.

This grave is stated on his burial card as "a space on Laurel Street near Potters Field." I was short on time this morning to explore a larger section of the graves closest to the intersection. I will keep trying to locate this grave. I'm thinking when they put up all the flags for Memorial Day that could help too. I'll keep searching next time I'm shooting out there.

Hello ... I am going to get you better pictures ... It will take some chopping and pruning of a large bush/tree that is growing over top of both stones. I took the original pictures, knowing they were nearly useless, but it did let me (and you) know that there are headstones for this couple. Now that the weather is warming up, it won't be too long. :)

You are welcome. I did not have my little kit with me( clippers, wipes..etc....to clean the stone)today, but I will be going back and will take care of this problem and post an updated photo.

Thank you, Thomas, for this information. I was looking at WW I Draft Registration cards. I'll note his full, correct name in our records.

Would Grave 103178237 be the same Andrew Jackson Harmon as 162159272 ?
I so appreciate your work for Find A Grave. Thank you so much.

So are you Related to Joseph James Fondren and if you are then we are related too. I never got the chance to know My Dad's side of the Family - My Dad - Roy C. Fondren. My Mom and Dad separated when I was 1 yrs old and Mom took me away and never got the chance to see My Dad anymore. I was raised by a wonderful man - who will always be Dad to me know and raised me as his own. But Always had that ache in the Heart of missing out on Life with My Real Dad. Life is too short and Family needs to come together and keep the family line going and living and cherish the memories along the way.
Always - Donna Roy Ann Fondren ( Sherman )

No, I'm not related, I'm just on a mission to have old time musicians recognized on their memorials.

Thomas, I "borrowed" a gravesite photo of the Ferry family plots. I gave you credit at the bottom of the photo. I hope you don't mind, if you do, I will delete the photo. The obituary was unclear and I first started a new cemetery called Ferry Family Cemetery until I found a lot of his family at the Sheldon Cemetery, and determined that the obituary should have read Ferry family plots at Sheldon Cemetery. Thanks for what you do with Find-a-grave........j

If this is a relative of yours, I would be glad to transfer her. I usually don't have "unknowns", because it's like hogging a memorial until someone else does the work! I don't know why I did it, but you are welcome to have her in your care. Lori
