Avid history and genealogy buff, especially interested in early Florida history. As an 8th generation Floridian, Duval County families are a large part of my heritage. I was raised in Jacksonville, FL. After I graduated from Terry Parker High School I moved to Atlanta, GA and attended Georgia State University. I currently live in the suburb of Alpharetta. Ongoing research for Bass, Braddock, Redding Blount, James Fabius Clark, Haddock, Georgia V. Hammock, Harrell, Francis T. Hurlbert, John M. McCracken, Hardy F. McDaniel, Elijah NeSmith, William Lowell Parker, Enos Tart, King Taylor, Nathaniel Terrell, Camel Tison, Lem Turner, and Benjamin Weaver families. Thank you for noticing the error in her father and correcting it! It was so obviously wrong that I can't believe I overlooked it! Hope you and family are well! Still can't believe Jon is gone. Mike took a photo of the tombstone inscription and I posted on his memorial page if you would like to see it.

My husband is kin to the McCracken, Braswell, Bryan, Barron families in the cemetery. Will keep trying.
|Becky Gandy Nunnally||Two Find A Grave Websites for William Nasworthy Gandy|
There appears to be two Find A Grave Websites for William Nasworthy Gandy (88689285 and 85697017). The latter is linked to him in Ancestry.Com but
88689285 provides more information. I noticed that you maintain both sites. You may want to consider removing 85697017 but add the photo of the markers to 88689285 before you do so.
By the way, I am also a native Floridian from Duval County and lived in Marietta, GA for 32 years. We moved to Blue Ridge, GA 2 1/2 years ago.
Thanks for your work on Find A Grave!

Most likely I got it from the cemetery book or an old newspaper link (Though I try to document...sometimes I forget!) I am not related but have read lots of obits and old newspapers. In Tift county, most of what I post is as a volunteer. Be glad to transfer any you want/ need.

Thanks Jim. My friend Charles is a Law and he has written a nice book on the entire Law family. His 2nd or 3rd great grandparents founded Laws Chapel United Methodist Church in Laws Chapel, TX.

I wish I could be of more help, but I have never come across any records about a daughter Letitia. I would suggest you contact some of the family members who left notes on the Memorial page.
Thanks for contacting me
