Welcome to my profile.|
Everyone who knows me knows that I love getting to know my ancestors and have spent the better part of the last thirty years devoted to it. I enjoy walking through cemeteries and looking at memorial stones. I find it relaxing and peaceful and have met some of the nicest people through Find A Grave!
It makes me happy to help someone add a page to their history and keep the person's memory alive. I also feel that it may give a family a type of closure to know where a loved one is located.
Please, do NOT copy my photos to ancestry.com without giving me credit. Simply indicate "© 2010-2017 Chloe on Find A Grave". I'd appreciate a note letting me know you have copied them. However, do NOT post them to other Find A Grave memorials. Just let me know and I will upload them. Use for commercial purposes is not allowed under any circumstances. However, it is okay with me for you to post my photos of your friends and families headstones as long as you link it back to the Find A Grave memorial. You may use my photos on your own personal website if non-commercial, but photo credit is again appreciated.
Please use the new Edit System when possible for making any name or date changes to a memorial. You add the changes yourself and I will approve them or contact you for further clarification.
I am happy to add or correct information for you on memorials. I am somewhat liberal with transfers of anyone not related to me, but please state your specific relationship.
Please also feel free to contact me via email or post a message regarding any additional related family members. Perhaps we are cousins!
Beautiful quotes from headstones:
Asleep in Jesus! Blessed sleep,
From which none ever wakes to weep;
A calm and undisturbed repose,
Unbroken by the last of foes.
Asleep in Jesus! Oh, how sweet,
To be for such a slumber meet,
With holy confidence to sing
That death has lost his venomed sting!
Asleep in Jesus! Peaceful rest,
Whose waking is supremely blest;
No fear, no woe, shall dim that hour
That manifests the Savior’s pow’r.
Asleep in Jesus! Oh, for me
May such a blessed refuge be!
Securely shall my ashes lie,
And wait the summons from on high.
Asleep in Jesus! Far from thee
Thy kindred and their graves may be;
But there is still a blessed sleep,
From which none ever wakes to weep.
“There is no death: what seems so is transition.
This life of mortal breath
Is but the suburb of the life elysian,
Whose portal we call death.”

|BG||Rosalee Burwell Bridwell|
Are you a relative? This is my great great aunt. She is the sister of my great grandmother Mary Burwell Knotts.

Find A Grave Memorial# 145792457
Hi, I was wondering if you might be a relative to Leona and John as you have quite a lot of information on them posted? If you are not, I would like to ask you to please transfer these two gravesites to me.
Thank you Sandra Perdew

I put through your edit on Frank and Abby Merrill. Are they your loved ones? They are of no relation to me, and I am happy to transfer the memorial to you if you'd like to manage it.

Sorry it was Michael M. Maloney PHd

Needs to be added to his mother's findagrave like you put him on his father's Merrit M. Maloney and Gertrude Fisher Maloney. Thank you very much. You are great.

Thank you so much for the memorial of my relative, Jeanette Cullen Hogg, I have been searching for her for many years, and was dismayed to find an earlier Find A Grave memorial of James Oscar Van Leuven, with another wife listed. I was sure this was wrong, but had no way of checking it for myself. I am also delighted to see the newspaper report of her death, mentioning her sisters and brother.
I have saved these images for my own files, and will certainly give credit to you as stated, as the source of the document.
Many thanks. My grandmother was Jeanette's cousin once removed.

I forgot how to put a person into find a grave. How can I relearn how to do it?
