Hi, I am 60, sort of retired. My husband Jim and I have a small farm. We have about 40 cows, that we feed and take care of. Calving is fun, unless it's below zero at 2 in the morning. But, we take the good with the bad. Seeing a live baby get up in those conditions is a miracle. Even "I" like the heat from the hair dryer !!|
I'm researching my family, with names like the "Giacoletto" clan from Arkansas, and my Mother's "Maluda" family in Massachusetts. Also my Step Dad's family from Cloud County, Ks, the Coyle's and Gibbs. My husbands side are from this area, Ottawa County, and they are Henry, and Haley's.
I am on the dyslexic side of things, so hard as I try, what I see, may not be what is really there. So, if you see errors, please let me know, and I will correct them.
There's just not too much more I guess. Thanks for listening. Sue

|Glenna House Traylor||Melvin Rasmussen|
So sorry to bother you again. Baby Melvin lived 10 days. He actually died 2/17/1925. I don't know who the Anna Casteel Rasmussen is. Melvin was born when my grandmother Lavern Elizabeth Ann Rasmussen Gellings was nearly 10 years old. Her mother was Elizabeth Rasmussen. She was traumatized when her mom was so devastated she had a mental breakdown and my grandmother was responsible for her four younger siblings.

Thank you for getting back to me on this. I wanted to let you know because of all your hard work I was able to find out a lot about my mother's family burial place. There are actually 4 children missing on David Dupes' site. I had to go thru reams of paper to find this information. ...............then I searched thru the
help features for the website and cannot figure out how to add the children. And yes, I am sadly
a technological failure. I wouldn't mind if you want to transfer Axel and Elizabeth to me. Can you give me directions in navigating? Or someone else to contact? Out of curiosity, how much time do you dedicate to this endeavor?
Again, all my thanks!
|Glenna House Traylor||RE: Missing daughter|
Thank you so much. I can't remember if I told you she married Axel Rasmussen. So that would be on her grave. Thank you for entering all the information. God bless!
|Glenna House Traylor||Missing daughter|
Please hang with me as I'm new at this. My grandmother is Elizabeth Dupes, daughter of David Dupes. She is buried in the same cemetery I believe. Her name is not listed with the other children.
The Edgar Chester Woods born 1846, died 1936, should be shown as Edgar C. Woods. (His wife's name is Ellen E. Woods). His son is also buried at Franklin Cemetery. His name is Edgar Chester Woods, born 1881, died 1969. (His wife's name is Luella May Woods.)
Thank you for correcting these names.
Ella Mae Smith Schmidt
(I am a granddaughter of Edgar Chester Woods and a Great Granddaughter of Edgar C. Woods.)

I'm working on Tescott people getting them matched up with their family. A lot of them are managed by you. I want to make sure I don't overwhelm you with the number I'm sending. Should I limit the number I send a day? or just sending them and let you work at them at your pace. The other question I had is how you feel about obituaries. I have access to the Tescott museum and the obits books. Do you add them to the memorial or is that something you don't do? If you do add them do you want them scanned and posted as a picture or typed so you can copy it to the bio? Let me know. I don't want to be to much a a pain. Thanks Mary Jo

would it be ok if you transfer it to me and I will see what I can do from here. I live about 10 miles from the cemetery.

Canada, Virgil H. 119767497 b. 1886 d. 1961 must be the father of William W Canada - the pilot of Salvo Sally (B29 s/n 42-24699) that was downed Riley W Terrell in the next-of-kin by 1945. Could
not find her grave anywhere in the U.S.? Any suggestions?
Also Japan is going to do a memorial service for the 11 men killed on Salvo Sally but the only living family member I have found is Fred J MacDonald jr (the son of flt eng Fred J MacDonald sr).
Any recommendations on finding living relative - so many years later?
