I became interested in Genealogy in 2001 and have been creating the Merrell Family Tree_2009-10-27 ever since that time. The tree covers mainly the following family surnames for me and my late wife, Barbara Marie Folds: Merrell, King, Walker, Lyle, Folds, Easterwood, Crews, Kilgore, & includes many other surnames. This is a public tree online at Ancestry.com and it currently has over 117,000 persons in it. My wife, Vera P. Kilgore, [Marie's 2nd cousin, but no blood kinship to me] has the same Kilgore ancestor line as Marie did. Vera has her own Kilgore-Smallwood-Langham-Harris-Voss Families 2 public Tree online at Ancestry.com with over 34,000 persons in it.|
I learned a few years ago that Find-A-Grave is very useful for finding and adding information and photos to persons in my tree during researches, and have started creating Memorials for my family members on Find-A-Grave for the benefit of other Genealogists.

Jerry, Thanks so very much for your photo of this cemetery! Could you give me a clue as to how to find this small cemetery? And how did you know where to find it? I had this photo request for quite awhile, so I am so pleased to see a photo. Thank you for your time and photo, I am most appreciative. Ann Nancy Lenoir Westmoreland was my 6 G Aunt. Jane

I received your edits on Daniel and Nancie McAnear. They are some of my direct line grandparents. I'm happy to make the edits, but wonder if you could share your source information so I can update my files with more documentation! I would love anything you have on them.
Please email me offline.

You are very welcome. If you have anymore request for photos in the area, please let me know, and I will be happy to assist. I believe that we may be related thru the McLendon/Shadinger family.

I deleted my memorial for TMW. Several years ago someone got Find A Grave to separate the confederate graves from the Oak Hill graves. Some did not get transferred and some that were NOT supposed to be there were moved. Thanks for the vigilance to making Coweta graves correct for future genealogists. di

You're welcome. It was my pleasure!
I do live in Ottawa KS, It is considered Old by KS standards, many of our downtown buildings are from the late 1800's City began in 1861 original a settlement of Missionaries and Indians.
My only grandson graduated from KU also can't remember the year right now. His wife was a graduate of it also and she still works in the admissions office. Corrine drives to Lawrence everyday. not far at all. They finally got the new highway finished and open so it only takes about 20 min to get there.
I wondered what happened to Vera now I know. I really appreciate the information you have shared.

Thank you so much for the information about Lenna Capp. I had corresponded with Vera Kilgore some years ago but lost contact. Minnie Ola was my mother-in-law. She did not have much interest in family history nor did any of her sons. Some of my children & grandchildren are interested as long as grandma does the searching.

Thank you so much for the link to her father!
I was wondering where he was buried!
|Yankee Magnolia||Beatrice Cole Warnock|
Hello Jerry. You've suggested that Beatrice is her middle name and Elizabeth is her first name. Can you tell me where you found this information and I'll be glad to make the change. Or I can just make a note in her bio that her name may be Elizabeth Beatrice. Thanks very much.
