I love doing Genealogy and will be more than happy to help out a fellow FAG member whenever I can.|
If I have entered a memorial that is not a family member of mine and you are connected and would like to maintain the memorial, please send me the request using the suggestion option.
If I have entered a family member of mine that is also a family member of yours and you have information you would like added, please let me know as I will be more than happy to add it to the memorial.
If you believe any of the information that I have entered is incorrect please suggest a correction. I do not normally add false information, most of the information that I add has been found and documented, however we are all human and therefore there may be human errors made by mistake.
NOTE: It is a beautiful thing when someone not related to you takes the time to help a fellow member -- Many thanks to all who have and will help another in the future.
I will NOT transfer any of my family members memorials so please do request one.
I don't mind when you use my photos for your own purpose, however I do not like to see that you have taken my photo(s) and claimed it as your own.
Please make all change requests via the edit button located in the upper right hand corner of the memorial.

|Reg||RE: Alfred Flatman Garrard|
Hello, I will be happy to provide the information I have found.
As way of background, I am not directly related to the Garrards, but have been 'genealogically following' the Garrard family out of the Pittsburgh area, specifically Upper St Clair, PA, hoping to uncover some evidence of one of my husband's relatives from his motherís (Hilda Carlisle Carson) family: Leonard Carlisle, who is one of my husbandís great-great grandfathers.
I found Leonard on the same 1860 census page with Samuel Carlisle (m. Maria Garrard), which is where my interest in the Garrard family started. In fact, Samuel and Maria Garrard Carlisle are buried in a local cemetery (Melrose) where my mother-in-law is also buried.
I am not positive, but believe that Samuel and Leonard were related, either brothers or cousins. Unfortunately, Leonard basically 'disappears' after the 1860 census. Which has led me down many genealogical 'bread crumb trails' looking for evidence of him.
I have come to believe Leonardís father was a Samuel Carlisle and mother was Isabella Fryer. Therefore, I have also been 'tracking' the Fryers.
As you are probably aware, the Garrard family has connections with the Fryers. Leonard Fryer (who I think was my Leonard's uncle), moved from PA to Indiana. Leonard Fryer's wife was Eleanor Middleswart. She is buried in the Garrad Chapel Cemetery in Owen, Indiana. Her son, Samuel Fryer married Emma Garrard. They migrated to Missouri, which is another spot where your family connects in to my search.
In researching Maria Garrard I have come across a couple items that are relevant to your Alfred Flatman Garrard, who I believe is Mariaís brother. Mariaís mother was Maria Flatman Garrard, she came to America from England, and died in ~ 1840. Maria Flatman was John (Aldridge) Garrardís first wife. His second wife was a Mary Pettigrew Eaton Garrard.
1. John Aldridge Garrard (b.1800 England, d.1881 Butler Co, PA). His family came across on the ship Esther:
Alfred Garrard - Oct 1834 - New York, New York London, England - Male - Esther
Esther passenger list:
Thomas Garrard 60 Farmer
Mary Ann Garrard 30 wife
Benjamin Garrard 24 farmer
Mary Ann Garrard 13 sister
JOHN GARRAD 28 Farmer (FATHER OF ALFRED FLATMAN)
MARIA GARRARD 24 wife (I believe this is Maria Flatman Garrard)
John Garrard 12 son
Alfred Garrard 11 son (I believe this is your Alfred Flatman Garrard)
James Garrard 9 son
Hannah Garrard 8 daughter
Francis Garrard 7 son
Maria Garrard 4 daughter
George Garrard 3 son
Ann Garrard 1 daughter
2. I also found a copy of John Garrardís 1881 will from Pennsylvania. In it he lists his children by name, including Alfred Flatman Garrard. As well as his sister Maria, married to Samuel Carlisle. He also methodically lists out all his other living children, with their spouses (side-note: what a bonus to find for anyone trying to track family genealogy!)
I would be happy to make copies of these and forward them to you, if you provide me with your email address. Unfortunately, Find a Grave does not have a way to share documents.
I hope this information is helpful to you. If you have any other questions, I will be happy to try to help.

Today I searched the entire plot and surrounding area. There is no marker for this person. I also checked the cemetery survey done in the 1960ís and no marker was recorded for them at that time either. Please delete your photo request.
|Crystal E||LARRY BAIRD|
I was unable to find Larry's headstone today, as Hillcrest is a large cemetery. I will try again. Do you know if it is an upright headstone or in the ground?
|William (Bill) S. Webb||Cross family|
I reviewed the information you have for Mary Cross who married Cornelius Atkinson. Would you be willing to share the information you have for the Cross family? I am seeking this information for my 3rd great grand mother's family and have been having problems with this branch. Thank you
William S. Webb
Send me your email address through the edit and I will reply to you by email. --bluebell

Sheri, Another memorial has been created for Rachel. It is newer than yours, but has more information. I am not the creator, but am researching that line and discovered it ad thought you might want to be aware of it.

Any idea what cemetary she is buried in and if maybe she is buried with her husband, Ezekiel? That would be in VT, I believe. I am trying to find the year of her death. Any help will be appreciated.
