Blessed are the great grandmothers, who hoarded newspaper clippings and old letters, for they tell the story of their time.

Blessed are all the grandfathers who filed every legal document, for this provides proof.

Blessed are grandmothers who preserve family Bibles and diaries, for this is our heritage.

Blessed are father who elect officials that answer letter of inquiry, for some, this is their only link to the past.

Blessed are mothers who relate family traditions and legends to the family, for one of her children will surely remember.

Blessed are the relatives who fill in family sheets with extra data, for them we owe the family history.

Blessed is any family whose members strive for the preservation of records, for theirs is a labour of love.

Blessed are the children who will never say, "Grandma, you have told that old story twice today."

Nancy Peradine Sexton Teague
Could someone tell me the ancestry of Nancy Teague Find A Grave 16717197. There is a daughter of William M Teague named Nancy Teague who married John Goodnight I believe who later died around 1930 or 1940. Could this Nancy be the same Nancy?

Hi Shirley,

I don't think I have ever introduced myself so thought I would do so now. My line is...

William Burks Sr

Elisha Burks & Patience Dunston

George Abner Burks & Nancy Mobley

William Henry Burks & Rachel Elizabeth Cates

Samuel Walter Burks & Minnie A Stephens

Rachel Elizabeth Burks Sizemore, my maternal grandmother.

I've linked all my ancestors up George Abner. I know Elisha & Patience died in Henry Co GA but I'm not sure when or where they might be buried. My best guess would be that they rest on old family property.

You can find links to my ancestors, and many photos of them, by clicking on the links on my bio page.

Best regards,

Hardy Lewter Burial site Chatham Co NC
I have added an address and GPS co-ordinates for the location of Rev. War soldier, Hardy Lewter's burial site. Find A Grave Memorial# 10478895.

John Burns (another serious Lewter researcher and author) and I located the site a number of years ago. We knew the general location and I tracked the boundaries of Hardy's land and identified the location of the cemetery by talking to locals who remembered where the cemetery was. The cemetery was plowed over for farming many years ago, but after a thorough search in the tree line surrounding the area, we located a gravestone that had H. Lewter scratched into it's surface.

Curtis Joseph Chaplin 172215633
The obit for Curtis Joseph Chaplin states the interment will be at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery; you have "burial unknown"
When you make this correction , I'll be glad to delete the memorial I had added for Mr. Chaplin - he attended my church

James A Robinson
I tried your personal mail but it came back to me so....
Hopefully you are related to this family and could help my stone wall!

I am writing to you about James A Robinson and his sister Margaret C Robinson. Margaret C Robinson married William Frank Clifton 15 Sep 1881 Bienville Louisiana and died 01 Jun 1931 in Monroe, Ouachita, Louisiana. Margaret was born in Mississippi 28 July 1856. I found her listed with her brother James A Robinson and father Josiah Robinson in the 1860 Census of Itawamba, Mississippi, with a possible link to Augustin and Rachel Robinson as being his parents. Also, I have a marriage of Josiah J Robinson to Sarah E Miller on 12 Jul 1855 in Itawamba, Mississippi

Findagrave memorial # 10390321, it states that James Allen Robinson married Nannie Sophronia Brister and on siblings Margaret Catherine is not listed. It also says that his father is James Simpson Robinson and mother Julia Ann Lawrence.

What I am trying to do is get the correct lineage for Margaret Catherine ROBINSON Clifton her Find A Grave Memorial# 14735112 as her grandson Billy Sheridan who is 85 years old is trying to get into the “Sons of the American Revolution”. I have tried with his paternal side with no luck so now I am trying with the maternal side.

Maybe I have two people mixed up but with the location being in Bienville and Winn Parish’s I thought I had it correct!
Please help me out here your thoughts would be much greatly appreciated.
