I will gladly make updates/corrections to any of the memorials I have added to Find A Grave and will transfer those that are not in my family tree. Just be patient as it may take me several weeks to respond. You can use the Edit and Transfer tabs or contact me via email.|
The work I have done on this site, and hope to continue, is strictly a genealogical labor of love. When I am in a cemetery looking for my own family I am happy to take photos of other gravestones. Many of the entries I have made come from obituaries or news items that I come across in my research, and therefore may not have a photo attached. I strongly believe in adding such biographical data, even though it may not be accurate, because it sometimes provides that elusive clue, or even a place to start. In many cases I've added memorials but have not had time yet to transcribe the obituary. You are welcome to contact me to ask if I have an obit in my files.

|Barbara Elsie Feist Stienstra||I am selfless, I did NOT quit on my own.|
...and yes, I created the Krumm mmorial with my then 85 year old mother who has since died at age 96. I am not active because taking care of the living should come before those who have died.
I no longer live in New York.
There are GOOD reasons as to why I am no longer active in findagrave. I am now in my 60's and am seriously arthritic. I can no longer commit to this activity. I found a file from yes, 2004 and am I am double checking a couple THOUSAND files to make sure all the information is in Wallkill before deleting. I showed someone else the remark and they too felt it was not right BARBARA was even mentioned, you could have said "that person of whom we discussed." It is rather upsetting to find people are unappreciative to the hours, days and months one worked on this. It was quite a job not only for myself but my late Mother. One time, as storm came up and my mother was sitting on a metal chair; it was very hard to get her into my car, lightening surrounding us. It was a miracle we weren't hit by it; and I once saw someone hit by lightening, a terrifying proposition. I do not appreciate my name being "out there" as it is very easy to trace back as I did to see if it was me. I am sorry that I can no longer do Find A Grave, so don't make it sound as if I am a quitter. There were many factors here as to why I am unable to do it.

You are right about Barbara not being active on Find A Grave. I looked into the Find A Grave Community Forum and found an answer about what to do with duplicate memory. Here is a link:
What do you think?

I am working on the Krumm Family tree and noticed there is a duplicate record on Ruth Bertha Krumm - 8897801 - at Wallkill Cemetery. The record was created in 2004 and your record was created in 2012. There is no option of merge. Is it possible for you to submit the obit to the creator and delete your record? Your thoughts?

I don't know why this duplicates are coming up now. As you know Mr. G and I did these cemeteries for the Town of Mamakating and made books on them and I really do not want to take off the year that we worked on them and would like them to match the records at the Historical Society. I was not aware that you had recorded this cemetery I knew that the Roe family did a listing but that it was no up to date that is why our committee was formed to relist and clean them Mr. G and I spend over 6 years on them and would not like to have our work just taken away. I find that this site and not what it use to be and it bothers me the way it is being run. Please say hello to you Dad for us. Charlie and Helene Goetschius

Vivian, St. Mary's parish office in Washingtonville has no record of this man in the cemetery records. I was able to fulfill 21 other request, but not this one. There are 5 St Mary Cemeteries in Orange County. Is there a chance maybe he is in one of those?
