FINLEY, GUY M., Our loving father, grandfather, uncle, brother-in-law, and friend passed peacefully from this life on July 10, 2004. He goes to join his longtime wife and companion Carolyn, who had just passed away on May 12. He was born on September 7, 1926, in Slaton, Texas, and was a resident of Dallas since 1957. He served in World War II as a paratrooper and was stationed in France and Germany after the war, where he developed a lifelong love of French and German music. He was a graduate of Texas Tech, where he played football and was a member of the Delta Sigma Pi fraternity. He worked many years in the insurance business in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana, and was honored at a Special Recognition ceremony by his closest partners and friends on October 10, 2003. Most recently he founded and owned the Group Warehouse Insurance Agency in Dallas, Texas, which is now under the management of C. J. Johnson. He is survived by his daughter Colleen, sons Guy and Robert, 7 grandchildren, 11 nieces and nephews, "brother in law" John and other close relatives, and legions of friends in the insurance business. Services will be held at 2:30 on Friday, July 16, 2004, at Highland Park Presbyterian Church (main sanctuary), 3821 University Blvd., Dallas, with Dr. Marshall Zieman officiating. Interment will be at Restland in Dallas. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and relatives, who all share his joy of life and cherished memories of many years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association. Restland 972-238-7111 restlandfuneralhome.com
