Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am Nancy (Mills) Burr and grew up in Nichols, Iowa. I am familiar with many that are buried in the Nichols Cemetery. I am also very familiar with the Lone Tree, Iowa cemetery. I especially would like to make sure we have the data as correct as possible. So if you find any mistakes, don't hesitate to contact me.

There's another guy on here that wants it the way it is - presumably, the original German spelling.

Edna Pauline Hankins Halvorson #19226872
Hi. I was wondering if you would turn over the maintenance of Pauline's Find a Grave account to me. Edna was an only child, and had no children of her own, she was buried with her first husband in New Mexico, this would mean alot for our "Behnke" family records to be able maintain the grave. Pauline's husband and my grandfather were brothers. Please let me know what I would need to do, any help would be appreciated.

RE: Thomas Knotek
case of then vs now. when he was born in 1863 there was no such thing as czechoslovakia (as shown in his 1930 census), which was created after WW I from austro-hungarian empire territory.

for 1920 he listed Bohemia, which was also part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, not sure if it was supposed to be a country, or just a region

his 1910 census listed Austria.

his 1900 census he went back to listing Bohemia.

Bohemia is not listed as an available country, so Austria looks like the closest thing.
