RE: Harriet Winfrey
I can't find much on her parents, so I can't really answer your question. I can't find father past 1860 census, mother past 1870 census. Of course, that could be a name spelling situation or mother remarried and last name changed. This little girl has a big brick wall looming where her bio parents are concerned. Maybe one day the mystery will be solved--never know when the wall will tumble. Thanks for your info and inquiry!

RE: Grandmother Murphy - #38782546
Because she is buried in the Murphy plot, and with no other information, that's how she had to be listed. If you know of anything more, let me know and I will do an obit search for something that may indicate what her name is, one way or another. Thanks.

RE: Tom Washington - photo
Thank you, my eldest son, his wife, and two grandchildren live in Chatham. I've never been to Camp Butler, even though I see the signs on the interstate.
Re: Tom Washington's wife...I'm puzzled, she's buried in a cemetery in Peoria. Can you enlighten me? Thanks

Thank you for the kind words, but compared to you, I do very little! Happy to help

RE: Lena Pope
Sorry but I'm not related. I grew up in Oak Grove and have many, many relatives and ancestors in the OG Cemetery but no Pope's.
