|Donna Rector||Fay, Thank you!|
I am very sorry! I've been so upset, since my Dad's death (nearly five years ago!) that I am sensitive about family records being correct.
You were absolutely CORRECT in your posting of his obituary, and it is what the family wrote and submitted to the funeral home; I even helped to compose the obituary, with my daughter-in-law, Jenny, and my mother.
I had completely forgotten, that at the time, we were so upset, and we wanted to be ALL INCLUSIVE and mention extended family in my father's obituary; when I initially responded to you, I had totally forgotten that fact. Please, accept my sincere apology.
When I initially wrote to you, about "errors" in my Dad's obituary, I was only counting his actual grandchildren, who are blood-relatives. I suppose, from now on, when composing an obituary, I will bear in mind that I should only keep it to actual relatives, because, as a genealogist, I know I depend so much on obituaries to have accurate information.
Again, please, accept my sincere apologies.

|Kathy Grimm||RE: John Henry Shelton|
Thank you for your time. I'm still looking☺
|Kathy Grimm||John Henry Shelton|
I believe this is my grandfather whose memorial you placed. The DOB and DOD are unknown so I cannot be sure. Do you have any information about who requested it or if there is anyone in the church who might remember him? If it is him, his DOB was
15 July 1892, and his DOD was 10 June 1972. He was born in Kentucky and lived in the District of Columbia as well as Tennessee. He had been married and divorced from Susan Oral Ballard from Ohio. They had four children. I greatly appreciate any information you can provide. Is there a marker? I'm assuming not since there is no photo on his memorial page. I pray that someone remembers him and my brother and I can get him correctly identified. Thanks again. Kathy in Oklahoma.
|Carlotta Draper||James Maury|
In the Find A Grave Memorial# 27984230 for James Maury is a portrait. The portrait is of his son, James Maury born in 1746 (Find A Grave Memorial #4761) and not of the James Maury born in 1717. James Maury Sr. is my 5x GGfather. If you find this is correct, I am hoping you could correct the situation.
Thank you for creating this memorial.
Thank you very much and Kind Regards,
Carlotta J. Maury Draper
|Donna Hawkins||RE: Hillcrest Cemetery|
Thanks for looking. I thought maybe you were related since you had all their family info.

I saw that you have memorials for Elwood and Mabel Talley. They are my husband's Great Uncle and Aunt. I will be traveling to Louisa later this month and hope to put flowers on their grave. Do you happen to know the location in the cemetery?
|AndyR||Katherine Gardner Buck|
I found two entries for Katherine, yours #22210744 from 10/5/07, and another from "Project Manager", #24507209 from 2/9/08. Since yours is the earliest entry, I was going to contact "Project Manager" to notify them of the duplication, but their messages are disabled.
