Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a retired mechanic-truck driver (3516/3531) and a former Marine Veteran, May 1965-May 1971. Charlie Battery, 1st Battalion, 12th Marines, 3rd Division, Vietnam DMZ 21 months May 1966-Feb 1968.
I try to take the most legible pictures I can. I believe in recording history for future generations. This is the best way I know to HONOR and Remember the deceased. I am adding memorials from books and graveyards so others can find their friends and family members.
If you would like some one transferred to you just ask. -(USE THE EDIT TAB)- on the memorial you want transfered. Glad to do links and I will add obituaries to BIO section also. (USE THE EDIT TAB!)
If I can help you with information let me know.

Semper Fidelis Sgt. Ed Elstan

Any pictures I have added you are welcome to use them for your personal use.

A GENTLE REMINDER....please DO NOT SCAN obituaries and post in photo section. Per Find A Grave guidelines, they need, instead, to be typed and submitted as an addition to the bio section with the names of the living removed. Thank you.

Thank You!
Thank you so much for serving our country!

As a Nebraska Daughter of the American Revolution, I just had the privilege of greeting 600+ Vietnam vets on their return Honor flight from Washington D.C. a week ago tonight.. It was very rewarding and long overdue!

Thanks also for posting photos to Find A Grave. It is helpful for studying my family tree.

I see you give permission to use for private use. I'd like to add them to my ancestry.com site but then that would make them available for others to use. What do you think?

Thank you for your time and service!
Sincerely,
Kay L. Baldwin

Just to say "Thanks" for your service.
Hi, Saw that you created a memorial for Anthony Russo. Wanted to say a big thank you for yours and your family's sacrifice to our country. My Father was in the US Navy in WWII as were 3 of my Uncles in the Army in WWII. So, my family understands what you and your family endured! I also had several cousins in Nam and lost several friends there.

Thanks, too, for all the wonderful volunteer work (or maybe it's a labor of love) you do on Find A Grave. Continued blessings of good health so you can continue what you enjoy in life!

Driver history
I am hoping that you can help me. I am looking for the burial site of Robert William Driver (1857-1933). Son of John William Wright Driver and a child named John Leonard Driver. I know he died in Carroll county Georgia. I have checked the cemeteries where his family is buried. No success. His wife is Malinda Emelia Waggoner ( 1865-1920). No success in my search. We have started a project of putting some kind of a marker on the graves of ancestors, So far with help from you guys we have found and placed 3 markers and have a list of 4 more to do. Thank you for the work you and your crew do. Thanks again.

Sgt. Elstan,

1st- Thank you for your service to our country. Your willingness to serve is greatly appreciated.

2nd- Thank you for taking an updated photo of James Allison Boyd #10546247 in Bethany UMC in Fayette County, Georgia. He was a 2nd cousin of mine. His death date had not been added to the tombstone when I was there several years ago to take photos. I wanted to let you know I am adding the new photo to my family history database. I don't know when I would be able to get back down there to take a new photo. So, again, thank you for taking it and thank you for giving permission to use the photo. I will. of course, give you credit for taking it.

Thanks,

Pat Millican
