If I have prepared a memorial for your immediate family member and you would like it transferred to you, please use the Suggest a Correction link located by clicking the Edit tab in the upper right hand corner of each memorial. In your message, please state your relationship to the deceased. I will consider distant family members, friends and totally unrelated people if you have something to contribute which I have not done already. |
Also, if you find any errors I have made, please use the Suggest a Correction link. I appreciate people helping me fix my errors. Also please send any additional information you have (including Family Links) and I will add it to the memorial. Find A Grave gives 30 days to make changes, but I try to get it done quicker than that. If you don't hear back from me within 3 weeks, please feel free to ask again.
Thanks to all who flower any of the memorials which I created, but especially my parents.
I love Find A Grave and I especially enjoy adding photos to memorials so that family members can visit their family member's graves at anytime. However, I ask that you respect my efforts. Please, do NOT copy my photos to ancestry.com without giving me credit. Simply indicate © 2006-2014 J.Sullivan on Find A Grave. I'd appreciate a note letting me know you have copied them. However, do NOT post them to other Find A Grave memorials. Just let me know and I will upload them. If you want to use them for commercial purposes or to create your own web site, that is not allowed under any circumstances. However, it is okay with me for you to post my photos of your friends and families headstones on Facebook as long as you link it back to the Find A Grave memorial. Please note that other members may have different opinions on this and you should honor their wishes. It is illegal to copy a photo without the photographer's consent.

Important admin notices posted in the forums:
Per Mark, the admin:
1. Location of body unknown should be used for recent deaths where the disposition is not currently known. You should however make every effort to locate the final disposition and update it as soon as possible.
2. See part 1. Not everyone in my direct family has been located and thus none of them are linked. I make notes in bios of those who have known locations. Such as "Son of X and Y" or "Also father of X". What I do is look for new listings and ask for updates when a generous member has finally found a missing relative.
3. No duplicates are allowed. Period.
This is Find A Grave and long-term unknown dispositions solely for the purpose of creating family links is outside the main intent of the website.
Per AJ, the admin:
Photograph the grave/gravesite "in-situ", or as it appears in that moment in time. The purpose is to show the grave as it is, be it dirty, cluttered, broken, or pristine. It is not your job to clean it, clear it, fix it, or decorate it. The graves are not yours to do as you please. Remember, one person's "good deed" just might be another person's vandalism. Go take lots of photos...but do it like an anthropologist and do not disturb the grave site.
Note for self, this is a link I might need to know how to make one day:

Please accept a change for Ella Winona Cox Alderson. Her death certificate states that she died in Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana. I had mistakenly thought she had died in Oregon. Sorry for the error. Ella was a sister to my paternal grandmother.

|Valerie Thompson||RE: Thompson Cemetery, Bee Lick, KY|
I photographed all of the readable stones. Bee Lick, Kentucky is at the junction of three counties: Lincoln, Pulaski, Rockcastle.
The Thompson Cemetery which I photographed is actually in Pulaski County. I would have thought that Pulaski Historical Society would have it listed.
It is listed in the Rockcastle County, Kentucky Cemetery book, because it is so close to the county lines.
I have an appointment this morning. You may email me at firstname.lastname@example.org What was his wife's full name? I will try to help you later.

|Patricia Harrison Armstrong||Frank and Louise Donovan - Holy Cross - Butte, MT|
Just to let you know Frank (d.1948)and Louise (d.1974)Donovan are buried side by side and his headstone is a military marker for service in WWI. Their children, Robert and Mary Louise are next to them as well. Someone else has claimed your request for their Frank and Louise headstones but if they fail to post them, I have photos for you. (I am happy to email the photos to you as well) Pat
|Patricia Harrison Armstrong||Mary Louise and Rudy Skender - Holy Cross Cemetery - Butte, MT|
There are funeral markers in place for a Mary Louise Skender and Rudolph Nicholas Skender on each side of the headstone for Robert Donovan. Rudy isn't entered in the sexton records but Mary appears to have been buried in the same plot as Robert. I have added memorials for both of them. If they are your family, I am happy to transfer. The baby girl who is also in this Donovan lot of graves does not have a headstone or a funeral marker - I sent you a note re that already. Pat
|Suzanne Andrews||RE: Correction on Frank Donovan's death date|
I believe the Frank Donovan that died in November 1948 is the one who was married to Louise as she is the one who is noted on his cemetery burial record as being responsible for his burial. I gave you the block and lot number for them along with a Robert Donovan and a baby buried in the same lot. Iím sending you a copy of the record through your email address. This should be proof of the relationship for the two of them.
|Suzanne Andrews||Correction on Frank Donovan's death date|
Sorry, I believe he died on November 4, 1948, not 1950. However, on the cemetery record it says 1950, but on the cemetery block file it does say 1948 for death and burial. I find that these old cemetery records are not always accurate and need to be checked and rechecked.
|Suzanne Andrews||Frank & Louise Donovan|
I saw your request for the Donovan's. Someone else has claimed them, however, the cemetery records indicate that Frank Donovan died 11/4/1950 and Mrs. Louise Donovan was responsible for his burial. She died May 2, 1974. There is also a Robert Donovan (age 57) who died 5/17/2001 that is buried in the same lot as they are. They are in Block 15 Lot 27, Graves 2 & 3 respectively. It looks like Robert is in Grave 1, and there is a Baby Donovan who was Stillborn on 12/4/1962 and buried 12/5/1962. It appears that baby is buried with or next to Robert. It's hard to determine since it was just written in between the lines on the block file.
If you have any questions, please feel free to send me a message. I'll do what I can to help.
