Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a genealogist/family historian. My primary interest is African American resources. I have canvassed several cemeteries which can be found in book form at the Arkansas History Commission (Little Rock) and Barton Library (El Dorado). I conducted the Arkansas research for PBS' African American Lives2 which aired in 2008. I spent 18 months canvassing Haven of Rest Cemetery in Little Rock (2007-2008). I am presently working on the template to upload the nearly 6,400 interments to findagrave. After I finish Haven of Rest, I will eventually get the other cemeteries I've canvassed over the years online. I live in the Midwest and am a member of the Arkansas Genealogical Society.

RE: Henry Benson
Hi Barbara, I used the death date off of the Ohio Death notices from Ancestry, there it says that he died Apr 22, 1980. I'm wondering if that is wrong. But I'm not sure I have a copy of his funeral program dated April 28, 1980 in Louisiana.

Hi - you sent a correction for the above memorial. All it says is:

"Still Touching. Still Living."

Is this a marker transcription or something else?

Thank you for the information. I will check with his remaining children to see where he is buried. I thought because a couple of our other relatives are in Lott Burgy that he may have been as well.

Sorry Mr. Corky, you're mistaken. My great-grandfather only had 1 wife, Carrie Mitchell.
