I have been interested in cemeteries and such since I was a little boy. It started waaaay back when I would visit my grandmother in Springfield, IL (I cannot count the number of times I have been to Lincoln's Tomb at Oak Ridge Cemetery). Since then, I have frequented many a final resting place across many parts of the USA.|
As for the transferring of memorial pages, I have no qualms about it, just as long as there is good reason or sense behind the request.

|Susan Murray||Thank You For The Transfer!|
Thank you so much for the transfers you made for FINLEY. Really appreciate that, and all you did in establishing such nice memorials for my ancestors.
Have a great Sunday, and thank you again!
|William Tidwell||Memorial# 74531212|
Thank you so much for your transcriptions!
There are some errors with the mentioned memorial 74531212. These are not errors in your transcriptions, but the information in the death certificate is wrong, which is creating confusion. The headstone is also a year off from her actual death date.
Her maiden name was Gainous, and her father was James Gainous. her mother was Polly Doyle. Her maiden name is Elizabeth Camilla Gainous, and she was born in Robertson County, TN. She first married Frank Kirby, and they lived in Logan and Simpson Counties in KY. After Frank's death in 1884, she married a Klein sometime between 1884 and 1900. In 1900, Davidson County census, she is already listed as a widow again. She then moved to Memphis with her daughter, Fanny, and her husband, Manning Hammer (they married in Sumner County). Fanny died at 19 with TB. Elizabeth continued living with her son-in-law and grandson, Milton until her death in 1917. Manning (deceased daughter's husband) was the informant on her death certificate, and entered wrong name of her father. It's possible that Polly Doyle had a relationship later with a Frank Holmes, not sure where Manning got this name...but James Gainous is her father. 100% certain.
I'm sure you already notice that death certificate indicates 3 Jul 1917 as her official death date, whereas the headstone indicated 4 Jul 1916.

I would like you to transfer the following to me:
William Allan McVey #93000003
Marjorie Alice Mackin McVey #92998552
William is my 2nd Great Uncle and Marjorie is my second great Aunt. My grandmother's maiden name was McVey. You consideration is appreciated.
|David K Smith||Gallagher and Carrick|
Iím requesting management of the following. They are my great Aunt and Uncles. The reason being is that there were two marriages involved and I am trying to connect all the children. Would be easier for me to do the corrections than sending you a bunch. I will gladly turn them back over to you if you wish after the corrections are done.

Thanks For Your Time,
|Rachelle Ashmore Sanders||James Huey|
Thank you for the photo post and noting there isn't a headstone.
|CSherm||Sarah Sallie Bullington|
I sent a request to have the name edited on memorial # 55913296 from Sarah to Sallie. After further research and confirmation through various census reports, it seems that both Sarah and Sallie are correct.
The request to add spouse was merely for the purpose of adding Sarah and Richard's year of marriage.
Thank you for making these records available!! :)

Only by marriage. I don't know who Ellie was married to, but I am sure it was to a brother or a half brother of these 2 sisters. There are several possibilities.

It looks like the other profile was deleted. I was hoping to get the info combined since the other one had the obit. I'll see if I can find an archived copy.
|Ed Mosby||RE: Laura Harris|
Is Zeno T. Harris III one of your relatives? If so, I hope you can share his family history with me.
Zeno's grandmother is my 2 x great-grandmother - Harriet Margaret Hawkins.
Harriet's first husband was Zeno T. Harris, Sr. (1803-1834)
Harriet's second husband was John R. Allen
My family line comes from her second marriage.
