PHOTOS: Any photo I have posted on Find-a-Grave is intended to be used...please consider this your permission to copy and/or post any of my photos.|
DUPLICATES: I try my best to do a thorough check before entering any memorials. I will never intentionally create a duplicate, although sometimes it just happens with the delay in the Find-a-Grave system at times. Even if my memorial was entered first, I will usually delete IF the other memorial is complete. My interest is not in numbers but in the precious souls who walked among us on this earth and their descendants who may search for them in the future.
CORRECTIONS: I'll be happy to make corrections on any of my entries if needed, or I will gladly transfer memorials to family members (at my discretion when it involves my kinfolks). I would appreciate your using the "Edit" function to request corrections.

THE RECORDING OF A CEMETERY
By Thelma Greene Reagan
Today we walked where others walked
On a lonely, windswept hill;
Today we talked where other cried
For Loved Ones whose lives are stilled.
Today our hearts were touched
By graves of tiny babies;
Snatched from the arms of loving kin,
In the heartbreak of the ages.
Today we saw where the grandparents lay
In the last sleep of their time;
Lying under the trees and clouds -
Their beds kissed by the sun and wind.
Today we wondered about an unmarked spot;
Who lies beneath this hollowed ground?
Was it a babe, child, young or old?
No indication could be found.
Today we saw where Mom and Dad lay.
We had been here once before
On a day we'd all like to forget,
But will remember forever more.
Today we recorded for kith and kin
The graves of ancestors past;
To be preserved for generations hence,
A record we hope will last.
Cherish it, my friend; preserve it, my friend,
For stones sometimes crumble to dust
And generations of folks yet to come
Will be grateful for your trust.

|Topalicia||Transfer of Mabel Burnett's Memorial|
Thank you so much for adding my Great Grandmother's memorial and transferring it to me, I truly appreciate you for it.
|Patsy Conlon||Clifford Gerome Burnett|
He is still alive and well. Just got an email from one of his family members. Might want to just have that up for his wife.
|Denise Richter||RE: Davis Hammond connections|
Thank you so much for getting back with me. Off to another clue. :)
|Denise Richter||Davis Hammond connections|
My name is Denise Hanna Richter. My father is Ted Hanna. His mother, Ernestine Jewel Davis "Townzen" also going by the nick name of "Spud" gave him up for adoption at birth. Mid 1941 in Tarrant County, Ft Worth Texas. I have the adoption decree from the courts. I also see a name that connects me to a name I had heard mentioned a few times. Rose or Rosa Lee Hammond, daughter of Elmer E Hammond and Hallie May Davis Hammond. Ernestine had other brothers and sisters but Hallie and Florence Davis Downs were witness on the adoption. Do any of these folks relate to you? I have an account on ancestry that is public.I hope to make connections with my maternal side of my fathers family and find the paternal side.

|Gale Gipson Rotan||RE: Robert Ballew sugessted edits|
I fulfilled your requests except one and when I declined it it declined all the others for Robert Ballew. I did not mean to decline all of them! So sorry! The explanation for the one I declined was for his nickname "Lee" That was not a nick name but part of his full name that he went by.
|Gale Gipson Rotan||Pauline Ballew|
I am glad you sent the obituary for Robert Ballew. I would not have known his daughter had passed away! They are related and I wanted so much to ask her questions about her family but she refused to talk about her family to anyone! I was so disappointed. I do plan on going to the funeral and hope to meet some of the other family members
that might share some information with me on down the line.
|joseph lilly||RE: Mary Lee Hardee|
Sorry Janey. She is in the Frankston City Cemetery under her married name Mary Hardee Burks

Hi! I hope this message finds you well! The find a grave memorial of Dennis Johnson (101602139) shows his nickname to be "Dent" when it was actually "Den". I was wondering if you could change it. Or if you would like to transfer management of his memorial to me that would be fine. Whatever works for you!
If you're related to Uncle Den, then I would love to hear from you!
|joseph lilly||Mary Lee Hardee|
Janie: I have the obit for Mary Lee. do you want to transfer her to me and I will enter it?
My number is 46778938
Have you heard any thing about Judy Richards?
|Old Waco||Roland Maldonado|
Thanks so much for creating his memorial.
It isn't often I run across two different obits.
