Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a retired native Texan married 58 years, living about 1 1/2 miles from my place of birth and about 1/2 mile from where most of my close relatives are buried. It is my hope that I have helped someone locate the final resting place of a friend or loved one which to me is the purpose of this site. If you see a relative I have listed that falls within the F.A.G. guidelines I will be happy to transfer it to you unless I am kin. Please use the Edit tab at the top of the listing for any corrections on my listings. I normally try to act on these at least once a week.
Feel free to use any pictures or info I have posted for your personal (Non commercial) use.

That was fast. It looks so good. I got more information on her. I am just so happy to find her. What a blessing.

R. Teske possible transfer
Mrs. P. J. Nichols 23409748 is my great-grandmother. She was the second wife of Charles Pohl 23410171 buried across the road in the same cemetery. Her father is J. T. Bridges 23363791 buried next to her.
If you would not mind I would appreciate it if you would transfer maintenance of the sites to me. My number is 48282059,
Mrs. Nichols name was Emma Belle Bridges. After my great-grandfather passed away she married at least two more times.
Charles and Emma have a son named Charles Pohl buried in the cemetery. He died at the age of 10 months in 1902 in Shreveport. I have not been able to find a grave marker. I suspect he is next to his grand-father (maybe next to his mother). I intend, soon, to add the information about him on findagrave.
Thank you,
Raymond Teske, Jr.

RE: Elizabeth Robinson
Thank You ever so much. That was a big help to me. I have been looking for her for such a long time. She has such a common name.
Can you add that she is the Grand Niece of Sam Houston.
Thank You again. Jan

Hi Bill,

I just noticed that I made a duplicate memorial for Zelvin, not find yours. Would you please transfer maintenance of this memorial to me as he is my cousin and I can add data to it.

Thanks,

RE: Edwin D McDonald
That is a shame. I'm a little sad about this. I knew that if anyone would know about a grave for him (or in this case no grave) it would be you. Edwin was my 2x great-grandfather.

Maggie was his daughter.

Now knowing that you could not locate a headstone for him you made me think to look at something. He died in 1882. His wife remarried in 1883. She ended up leaving the area but remaining in Texas. Seems quick but she was a widow with children. I'd like to think something happened to his headstone rather than think she never had one made for him.

Thank you Bill for your quick response. I appreciate it.

Edwin D McDonald
Hi Bill,
Long ago you took a photograph of Maggie McDonald's headstone. I am hoping to see if someone could locate her father's headstone. He is buried at Cedars Memorial Gardens (City Cemetery). Hopefully he's nearby?? I created a photo request but I thought to check with you too.

Edwin D. McDonald
Birth: Jul. 8, 1847
Death: May 4, 1882

Maggie McDonald
Birth: Aug. 28, 1878
Death: Jul. 28, 1880

Thank you,
Eileen
