Thank you so much. There appears to be a "space" near her brother Jasper. Thanks for info on funeral home.

I contacted David Gladwell to move to correct cemetery.
|Conservative Patriot||End of the Trail Wilma Farley|
This is a common problem in Greenbrier County. The stone is at Wallace Memorial by reading the stone, but the provisional burial location noted in the death certificate indicates End of the Trail. The two cemeteries are adjacent to each other geographically. There are many misplaced FindAGrave registrations between the two cemeteries (I should say three explained below). Those of us doing Boots on the Ground documentation work in the area are constantly making corrections on FG. So actually, the other memorial in this case should be deleted, or MOVED to the correct cemetery, which is Wallace Memorial.
To add to the confusion there is a "TRAILS END" Cemetery (African American) within a baseball toss next to both Wallace and End of the Trail!!!
Death Certificate Clerk is recording the burial location where the family or friend attesting to the certificate at that time thinks the burial will be, not where the burial actually ends up being the day of the funeral. I see this problem often. Death cert points me to cemetery X but boots on the ground I find the grave in nearby cemetery.

yes. sorry - typo.
I have records with Spriegel spelled without the "e" - Sprigel.....

I was so happy to find the entry for Annie. She was my 2x great grandmother. I was named for her daughter - Rica Huffman.
Where did you find her information?

Do you know where Amy Harris Maddox is buried in Mount Vernon Cemetery? I was at the cemetery and photographed her parent's tombstone and her brother, Jasper's, but could not locate her grave.
Thank you for all the work you do for Find A Grave.

|Martha Jenkins||RE: Benjamin Butcher|
Thanks! Benjamin Butcher was my great, great grandfather and you have the right place for the cemetery where he was buried.
|Eva Hughes||RE: Selena Hanshaw Hicks|
Well, no, if she had lived until February of 1895, she would have turned 48. She gave her age as 19 in 1866, which confirms she was born in 1847. In the census records, she and Bryant gave their ages as the same or one or two years apart, and he was born in 1846
You probably know Bryant remarried in 1914.
|Eva Hughes||Selena Hanshaw Hicks|
Bryant Hicks is my 4th cousin 4x times removed.
Here is the marriage record for Bryant and Selena. She gives her age as 19 at their marriage in 1866, which means she was born in 1847 or 1848, and puts her closer in age to Bryant.
Marriages of Putnam Co. VA/WV
Bryant Hix, 21, son of A&HH and Salina A. J. Hanshaw, 19, daughter of William and Mary Hanshaw, both born Putnam Co., were married at the bride's home in Putnam Co. 24 June 1866 by Rev. Benjamin A. Armstrong
I am glad to have the month and day of her birth.
