Bio Photo Another wonder of nature to be seen in Alaska. The annual Caribou migration. What a thrill to see.
I am an avid outdoors person, with fishing and 4-wheeling at the top of my list.

Originally from Alaska, but finally reached the age that I can play "Snow Bird". The annual Winter migration from Alaska to warmer climate in the south then back again in the Spring.

My winter hobby is family research. I will gladly share my information.

Have recently finished an update to the Santa Maria Cemetery. If you would like a transfer of anyone, please request from their Memorial page.

I am not able to delete the picture. I was in the wrong Mt. Zion cemetery. I have asked the person managing the grave site to delete it.

Sorry about that!

RE: Ezra W Allegar - Find A Grave Memorial# 141906352
Hi Willa:

I don't know if Ellen is a relative or not. She is someone who has photographed and posted many of the memorials for New Somerville Cemetery.

RE: Oak Hill Cemetery
Hi, Willa. Nice to hear from you!

I do some work at Oak Hill, but have been confining myself to O'Brien County as the need is great here. I've run into a little snag at at my current cemetery, though, so I'm thinking of branching out into Cherokee, as it's more geographically desirable (about a half hour ride.)

Oak Hill is documented with bare bones information and few photos, and without checking, I'd bet there were a fair number of requests there because it's not really very well walked. The contributor of the majority of the data base is extremely fast with edits, so it's a satisfying place to work.

The best way to get the photos is to put in photo requests for all who have memorials. There are other people who do requests there, too. It is a comparatively large cemetery and it's hilly, so if I do go in there, I'm going to have to do it as I usually do, by walking it in its entirety and recording everything that's not already online, and photographing everything that has a memorial but no photo.

I heard that they do have a map there, and I suppose I could resort to looking them up. haha. My husband drives past there on his way home from work, and perhaps I could press him into service for a little bit when he gets off work in the afternoon.

How many do you have? I'd say put the requests in, and then drop me a line and I'll look for them.

No, she is not a relative. She is a person who has cataloged and photographed many of the tombstones in New Cemetery. She was willing to have the memorials transferred to her for management as she has a special interest in the New Cemetery.

Hi Willa,

I just saw your request and added the photo to Angelina Allegar's memorial. I'm not concerned about the credit. I would have gladly transferred Ezra Allegar to you if it was still under my management.

His headstone reads Oct 8, 1875. Look at the side view.
I changed it to that and gave William a couple more days. I also changed the order on the photos so that one is the 2nd one down.

Thank you for the suggestion but both of us were incorrect.

Atlanta Cemetery in Logan Co., Ill.
We have done some photos at the Atlanta Cemetery and recently my husband found a map so that makes it a bit easier--not much though finding graves. Post your requests and when weather and time permits we might get back to it. Have been very busy but will try to do this again.
