Bio Photo Hi!

A lifelong resident of Salt Lake County, I was born at 5:57 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 1992 at Holy Cross Hospital (now Salt Lake Regional Medical Center) in the East Central neighborhood of Salt Lake City.

Raised in West Valley City and Kearns, a lifelong dream came to frution on May 12, 2014, when I moved to Salt Lake City. After three wonderful years in the historic Liberty Wells neighborhood, I returned to my west-side roots on June 24, 2017 and moved into a home in the Glendale neighborhood.

Family history research led me to discover Find A Grave one day back in August of 2006. I subsequently joined and have greatly enjoyed contributing here since. I feel honored and privileged to be able to help document and memorialize the lives of those who came before me as well as preserve their information for future generations. It is truly a labor of love for me.

When not doing genealogical research, I'm deeply involved in politics (serving as a state delegate, county delegate, precinct vice chair, county central committee member, and Utah/Salt Lake County Stonewall Democrats board member) and community service (Emerging Leaders of Utah Initiative community board member and volunteer at the Volunteers of America Utah - Homeless Youth Resource Center).

I also enjoy reading, writing (I write for Utah Political Capitol, KSL.com, Deseret News, Building Salt Lake, Journal of Mormon History, and QSaltLake Magazine), and listening to '70s and '80s music. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and grew up in the Jordan North Second Ward, Salt Lake Jordan North Stake.

Please let me know of any corrections or additions that need to be made to one of my memorials. As for transfers, I don't subscribe to the four-generation rule. If I've added a memorial for one of your relatives or friends and you would like to manage it, please let me know and I will be more than happy to transfer the memorial to you.

If you have time, please leave flowers for my grandfather, Brent Curtis; my grandfather, Norm Gibbons; my grandmother, Gae Gibbons; my aunt, Jane Brandenburg; my uncle, Marc Curtis; and my cousin, Clair Harward

Some ancestors had a magic way
Of leaving trails to climb each day
They had a goal and climbed with care
Faith gave them dreams and a home most fair
So from a land across the sea
They came to a land most promised to be
And lived their lives happy and free
They gave us freedom and a heritage great
Anchoring our souls from a cruel fate
Great thrills and joys their stories bring
Of the lives they lived and the songs they sing
God grant that I may useful be
And meet these dear ones in Eternity

- Eunice E.C. Record

RE: Re: Deborah Lee Lindsay
Or perhaps she was moved. Since WVC cemetery is private they don't share data.

POW time error
Ryan thanks for all you do.
There is an error in the text on Memorial
# 177358549 (Evan Glen Chesley). It says Evan spent 419 days as a POW in WWII. This error comes from Evan's obituary.
Evan's ID number in familysearch.org Family Tree is KWC4-TCF. In Evan's Family Tree Memories is the Deseret News Obit with the error (419 days in captivity). Also in Memories is military record which says he was captured 16 Jan '45. The Nazis surrendered on May 7th 1845. Another military document in Memories says he was a POW for 3 months. Also in Memories is a write-up by Evan on his time in the military. He says he got to Europe in October 1944 and was captured in mid-January while in the Battle of the Bulge.
I could change '419 days' 'over 100 days'.
I have been helping Evan's son Dennis add Memories and we noticed this mistake in the obit.
Thanks Rex Shumway

Thank you Ryan for the connection to Harold. I was afraid if I asked Find A Grave, who maintains Harold's memorial, they would nix it because of the "unknown" burial.

I checked Forest Lawn Long Beach and she didn't show up on their database. I'll ask Patricia in the next couple of days to see if she remembers where the service was. Or she can ask Don, her brother.

I also have her maiden name now of Schmitt, but didn't do the edit yet, because I'm not sure if it has one or two T's and there is a possibliuty that it was SCHMIDT.

I may be back sooner than you know.

Thanks again,
Suz Lew

Hello Ryan,

Mrs Moore had a daughter named Ellen Doud Moore Anderson who appears to be deceased as she was not mentioned as a survivor in her mother's online obit. Her husband was Stanton Dean Anderson. Do you know anything about her?

Also, Mrs Moore's son, by Richard Gill Sr, is deceased. His name was Michael Doud Gill

Thanks,

Greg Windsor

You did this memorial in 2010. His wife, my cousin, just passed and was buried next to her husband. Will you be doing her memorial? I can send you the obit and picture...plus any additional info you need.
