RE: Summers and Gay
Based upon your Find A Grave memorials I was able to fill-in some gaps in my own data.

Since you seem to be a descendant of William Summers (my 2nd cousin 6x removed) m. Sarah Kinard I am hoping you can shed some light on their son William and whether or not he is the T William Summers Find A Grave #10445939?

Recently, I've communicated with another descendant and did some research but am unable to find any proof that these two men are one and the same; if interested I can send you a copy of the various emails with this other researcher. One glaring discrepancy is T William's listed birthdate on his Find A Grave memorial which conflicts with the known younger age of William (son of Wm & Sarah) per census records.

Also, I invite you to have a look at my website. And I invite you to submit any additional info or corrections. I am always happy to share and glad to meet another cousin.

As you'll note on my website I do not show data on anyone I think is living, which includes many Summers. FYI I have 3,000+ with the surname Summers in my database.

As a Summers descendant, you'll be interested in the monograph I co-authored about William E Summers (1811-1836) of Alamo fame and you can read the monograph on my website.

Best wishes,
Del Groves

Ethel L. Dobson
Hi Donna:

On one of your graves you have Ethel L. Dodson--the last name is incorrect. The correct name as spelled on the stone is Dobson. This is my gg- aunt. Can you update this site with the correct spelling? Thanks.

Sincerely,

John Burnett

William Bogart was born in New York, and served in both the 11th Vermont and the 179th New York.May I use the photo's that you contributed to their Find A Grave memorials to post on the Vermont Civil War site? You will receive credit for this.

Thank you for your consideration.
