Bio Photo Jim T. Bauman(Roy Eli Belton Beard-birth name)I ,along with two older brothers, was taken away from our family during the middle of the depression years 1935 and were separated from one another.I was adopted at two or so years old. And was told only that I was adopted, but nothing more. When my adoptive Dad passed away in 1982,He left for me my original birth certificate and other papers. From all that I learned of my birth parents and family.Found my oldest brother after a sixteen year search. He was the only remaining member of the immediate family other than myself. It had been sixty five years that we had been apart. One of Bonnie and I first leads was through cemetery records where we locate my grandfather. From then on we have been finding more and more family.Family means so much. That is why my wife Bonnie and I are trying to enter everyone that we can so anyone searching may find an ancestor that might be a lead to help them find their family also.

Daniel V Chapman
Thanks for all the information you have put on FindAGrave! I was wondering where you found Daniel's middle name? I saw it on his Indiana Death Cert, but it was hard to read and could not tell if it was Vohres, Volves or other? Also, do you know what Daniel's father's middle name is and how you found that. I have John Woras Chapman, b. 1828, but do not know where I found that or if it is correct. Have looked for a long time for the graves of Casper and his wife Mary (Inbody) Chapman? I figure that Mary is buried with Casper because her second husband Henry Wogoman is buried by himself in the Inbody Cemetery.

Miller (Hoke) cemetery Elkhart Indiana
Thank you for all the photos you have taken of the Miller cemetery! Do you have any guess at how many unmarked graves might be there also? (When it says that 68% of the internments have been photographed, I'm not sure how that was figured. Is there a list of everyone who is supposed to be interred there?)

I'm trying to locate a couple of people: the John Burns who is the husband of the Barbara Burns buried in this cemetery, and another Barbara (Miller) Burns, who was born in Pennsylvania around 1794 and died in Elkhart County IN in 1870. She married a Torrence Burns (who died Nov 25, 1890 in Goshen, Elkhart, Indiana), and her father, John Miller was from Pennsylvania. Her mother (whose name I wish I knew) came to Goshen and died in 1844, at about age 82. I'm sure she's related to the Millerses in this cemetery, though I can't find a record of her. I'm wondering if she might be one of the unmarked graves.

The photo you posted is not that of Amos - it is his father Darius Jasper Thomas - could you please remove so I can stop getting notified that I posted the wrong photo - thanks a bunch!

RE: Memorial# 57121365
Her name was Sylvia L Davis-Lewis and her father was Mack Hall Davis of Georgia, 44196115 is his memorial #, her mother was Mary Davis-Davis and her memorial # is 44196102

She was my great aunt, and I have confirmation from her sister, my great Aunt Vernice of her birthdate, where she resided, and who she was married to.

Could you please link her to her parents.

Thank you

I hope you don't mind that I added an unmarked grave photo to this acct as I confirmed with Robert from that cemetery today. Can you also add the Grave location as Section Cosmos grave 127-A. I added this info to the caption of the unmarked photo but thought you might want to add to the acct info. Thanks, Maria

This is my husband's third great grandfather. There is a book (still for sale, I think) called the Sand Mountain Miller and Allied families. The only part that would have significance for you would be Hannah Beard Bruce 1851-1894. She was one of his daughters. I am hitting the genealogy wall on her husband as they must have died in TN in the latter part of the 1890's and their daughters Hannah and Arizonia were sent to live with their uncle in Gadsden TN per census records and family stories. If you would like to chat my email is

The Sand Mtn Millers is available by contacting Julia Benoit; I believe they are abt $75 each and 600+ pgs. tons of pics, obits, documents and such.

Jose Henriquez
My name is Naomi. Jose Henriquez is my great-grandfather. His daughter, Gladys is my grandmother. She is housebound in a nursing home. May you PLEASE take a picture of the actual headstone? This would make my grandmother VERY happy as she lives in PA and there is no way for her to make it down there.
