Nelson Upham at Forest Home
Hi Ken,
The weather keeps thwarting my attempts to get a picture, but I know exactly where the headstone is--it can be seen from the car, and is on a beautiful piece of land right on the Des Plaines river. I really appreciate your obtaining the location, and hope to have a photo for you soon!

Dear Ken,
Oh thank you so very much for taking these photos for me, it means the world to me. I truly appreciate the time and effort you gave getting these photos. If I could ask you one more kindness, could you please send a copy of the originals to I would be grateful. They tend to print better then the ones I download from findagrave. Bless you ~Sandy

RE: Nelson Upham at Forest Home, IL
I'd love to see the photos! Yes, Forest Home is in Forest Park, which is right next to Oak Park. Forest Park might have been known as "Harlem" at the time of the writing of the postcard, and it's possible it was considered kind of a neighborhood of Oak Park, who knows?

Hello, Ken,
Your vintage pictures sound very interesting ... why don't you post them?
Why I'm writing you--in an effort to winnow down the number of Find-a-Grave photo requests in my area, I am asking for your help.
Forest Home cemetery limits the amount of information it will dole out to one person--and they've pretty much let me know I've reached my lifetime limit. If you can contact their office for the plot location of the photos you're requesting, it will speed along the process of your getting photographs.
Here is the contact info:
Phone: (708) 366-1900; fax: (708) 366-1921
PLEASE ask if there is a headstone.
