Bio Photo The human stories and history that can be found in cemeteries have facinated my husband and I for years. We are happy to share this facination with the Find A Grave community. A credit would be nice but not a requirement.

Raymond Eddy
Memorial #161649270
Additional information for Lille Ellen Eddy Nickell: Lillie was the tenth and youngest child of John Eddy (#41919085). She was born and lived in Nemo, Somervell Co., Texas. When she was 14 years old she wanted to get married. Her father refused. He "raised so much cane" she ran away with Perry Nickell and was married on August 8, 1895 in Bosque County, Texas. The families were estranged for many years. When her mother died in 1918, they could not locate her. At times Lillie lived in Bosque, Johnson, Hall, and Childress Counties, Texas before moving to Arizona. Most of her siblings are buried in Somervell County.

Colleen McLane
RE: James Joseph McLean
Suzy & Rob, It's been a long search, but thanks to your memorial I have located my Great Uncle James McLean! Basically, my Grandpa Edward J. McLane was his big brother. James left his birthplace, Scranton, Pa., maybe for health reasons? Anyway, it's interesting because James spells his last name like my GG James McLean did when they were in Ireland. The spelling was changed to McLane when they landed in the U.S. and that's what the rest of the clan went with. Such a great find! Thanks!

RE: Additional Info
You were correct. He was Joseph and family was on 1900 census in Nebraska (where wife Anna's DC says they were before she died). Mother Anna died in Dec 1915. I bet she's in Greenwood also. Mellie married in Phx. 1903.

George and Carrie Lynd Phelps
Suzy and Rob,

Thanks so much for posting the death and burial information about George Lynd Phelps and his mother, Carrie. Your courtesy has enabled me to fill in some missing pieces of my husband Bruce's maternal family tree.

Best regards,

Brenda

RE: Mellie Riggins
Her obit says she was buried in Greenwood. Don't know if there is any relationship to John in our cemetery.

Georgia Baker
Thanks so much for letting us know about our friend Georgia Baker's duplicate. We delated ours and made the necessary adjustments to keep her daughter Edith and husband linked. We moved the obituary that appeared here in Petoskey, to your memorial. Thanks so much for honoring her. And again, for letting us know. Hope your 2017 is going great!
