Have been working on my family history/genealogy since 1998 (when I retired). Like 99.9% of others wanting to know "where they came from", I wish I had started many years earlier when there were some family ancestors still alive.

RE: Anna Key Fort Pipes, Memorial #37040138
Hi Tommye,

I have had to be away from Find A Grave and Ancestry for some time.

Thank you for your note on my duplicate memorials for Anna Key Fort Pipes. I see that I did make up two for her. I have deleted them both and the memorial created by Jan Shultz in 2009 takes precedence as it was created first.
Thank you for alerting me to my error.

RE: Donald Callen
Oh. Don Sr's father, James Overton Callen, was the brother of my husband's Grandmother, Gladys Callen Morrogh.

RE: Donald Callen
I'm just glad his memorial is in family hands. That was my main concern. Don Sr & Don Jr, came to visit me in south Louisiana a few years ago. Such a nice family. So it's all good!!
Thank you for the response. Debbie Morrogh

RE: Fords: James, Houston, Hattie, Ruby, Lessie, William B.,Henry, William T. & Jessamine
You raise a very good question. Checking, the 1910 census has a "Bryant W." as a 6 year old. Frankly, most census records have similar errors...takes some reading between the lines!

On the other hand, the 1920 census has William T. in the family as an 8 year old. In that same census there's one name that is garbled...unreadable, but shows an age of 16. That's consistent with "William B." show in the 1910 census.

The 1930 census has a "W.T." age 18. That would be consistent with William Bryant having left home. In that era it was not uncommon for people to unilaterally modify their name.

At this point I can't find any reason to doubt the Find A Grave links. I sure do wish I had a copy of a death certificate. Most states show the name of the parents of the deceased.

RE: John Henry Miller
I have used the edit tab to request the parents be deleted from John Dee b. 1925 as I do not manage that memorial that's the best I can do. If you know of memorials that should be linked please do so, with the edit tab at the top of each memorial.

RE: John Henry Miller
are you referring to John H. b 1810 or John H. b. 1862? Sorry, I didn't take the time to look you up in "Rifle Balls". Haven't been working on this line in a while.
