Bio and Links
Bio Photo Complete change has come to this website. It seems very impersonal now. Photos are distorted and contributor credit seems obscured by added web site owners and even more ads. This is a sad day for me. 6-29-17

*please do not ask me to change names on headings. This is find a grave, therefore the names are posted as written on headstones. I usually address full names in the biography area. I sometimes add full names in the headings if I have personal proof or I locate an original source.

RE: Holland Family
Yes, my ggg grandmother was Martha J. Dixon b abt 1830 in Illinois, per census. She married my ggg grandpa, William Marion Holland in Independence County, AR. He was born in Tennessee and they moved to Illinois then on to Arkansas by 1829. She died somewhere between 1860-66, if I remember correctly. Was in Stone County, AR 1860 census.

Holland Family
I know you have posted on GG Uncle James W. Hollands findagrave most of his siblings... Are you kinfolk? I would love to talk to you if related in anyway.

You left out onr 1/2 brother of James, Pinkney, who was on the 1880 census. From William Marion Holland and 3rd known wife Margaret Catherine "Katie" Fulks. Pinkney died in childhood unknown if in Arkansas or Texas.

I am still looking for Williams mothers death info. I've never been able to find out her name for sure. I have a couple of possibilities. She died in Independence County in her 90's according to Robert H. Holland (Hollan) in Goodspeed article.

Hello again,

Has the Owen Dixon book been digitized? I'm sure many of us would love to have copies!

Hilliard Dixon
Hello! I am the GGGrandaughter (I think that's right) of Hilliard Dixon. (Hilliard, Thomas J., Albert Sidney, Clyde O.) You listed a daughter, Sally. As of the 1850 Census, I don't have a Sally listed. I do have a Frances M. I do have a Sarah, who is three years older than Frances. Do you have access to the Owen Dixon gen book? I would love to see the information. I do have information on where my grandfather, Albert Sidney and his brothers ended up if you would like me to post it to this page. Thank you for your work on this memorial.

Willie Hargis
My sister asked me to contact you and see if you would go in and delete the first paragraph on Willie's site. The obituary is underneath it and we would like the other deleted. She is buried at Powell Cemetery in Marshall County, Oklahoma. I hope that all is well with you and your family.

RE: John F Dixon
Thanks Joan. We were putting flags out on the Veterans graves at Combs and I was wondering about John. I found some Civil War veterans in there.
