William Alexander Ridgway
Love the Military Gravestone for my great great grandfather. I am Marynella Gabriel Kinnard (mom: Mabel Lucille Coffey, her dad, Thomas Hardy Coffey, his mom: Samantha Ann Ridgway Coffey. "Sam" as she was called, was his oldest daughter. As a child I lived in Boone Co, just over from Baxter Co, AR. Thanks again! Great picture !!! Vincent: I never pass up an opportunity to walk through Yates Cemetery, especially when I'm down to Pioneer Days in Douglas County. I was glad to see you had put up the photograph of the baby's grave, Golden Wheat, who was buried in that graveyard. My Sis and I had pondered over that beautiful name many hours while down there. It so happens, I found her on the Census of 1900, the daughter of Henry and Eliza (Driskell) Wheat. The family later moved to Muskogee and on to California where the parents died during World War II in Riverside County. By the way, did you attend high school in Gainesville. -Brad Melton

William Alexander Ridgeway
My name is Rita Allen and I have talked with you before about my 3rd great grandfather. I was wondering if this headstone you placed was purchased by a CSA group or a private purchase. Some of the family said one was purchased years ago with his birth and death date on it. I'm still confused about the marker being in a abandoned building for several years in Missouri and someone contacted me. Can you help me with any of this? Thanks Rita

Our family wants to let you know the information on our 3rd great grandfather isn't correct. You have William Almus Ridgeway and it's William Alexander Ridgeway. John Almus is his son who served in the same reg. CSA with him and he is buried in Feagin Cemetery Hortense Polk Co. Texas. John is his second child and our 2nd great grandfather James Lorenzo Ridgeway is his 3rd child. We have our Ridgeway/Ridgway family traced back to Samuel Thomas Ridgway born 1709 St. James Parish Clerkwell London, England he passed away 7th Dec. 1785 in Goochland Virginia and his wife is Elizabeth Woodson 1712-1741 Virginia. A gentleman notified me a few months back and told me they would notify us when they placed his headstone but we haven't received any messages. Thank you for any help. Rita Davis Allen My e-mail is

Re: Solomon Collins
Requesting permission to use the Solomon Collins gravestone picture for an article. Also, I am looking to use it in a TV show on Animal Planet.

You have my permission
