Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am 43 years old and have lived most of my life around the Appleton City Mo area and am currently living about 8 miles west of A.C.. I have three children (all teens, ugg) and married my high school sweetheart. I got started in family history while in high school but didn't get very far with it. I have recently picked up my family history again through and that's how I found out about Find A Grave. At first glance thought Find A Grave might be a gimmick but soon realized that there is a lot of neat things about it. Shortly there after I signed up as volunteer photographer. While I claim no real photography skills, I use my iphone and computer and upload the photo's.

I have a few pages that I have made a copy of from Find A Grave of some family members, and use this to illustrate to people that don't know or don't understand about Find A Grave or what I am up to. Almost all have commented that that is neat and didn't realize that this information is available online.

My main territory for cemetery photo's is eastern Bates county, northwestern St. Clair county and southwestern Henry county MO. Feel free to use my photo's (no commercial use please).

So looking forward to the day I slip out of this world and catch up with my eternal family. God bless, and happy family hunting!

Are you related to James Henry Swindell? He is my great great grandfather.

Children named August Heinrich Stewener and George Herman Stewener are in Reform Cemetery, Pleasant Gap in Bates County, Missouri. Their surname is actually Stevener. Will you please connect them to their parents:

(Child) August Heinrich Stevener, Memorial #99261985

Infant Hale, Bates Co, MO
This child may be Jacob Hale, age 1 month in 1860 and the son of Robert and Elizabeth Hale - no other information comes up for Jacob via Ancestry other than the 1860 census record and the same for his mother.

RE: Daniel W. Spangler Mem #7970701
Did I give this to you? I can't remember. Sorry if it's a duplicate.

I found a "Mortuary Notice" that I believe belongs to your Daniel Spangler. I followed a trail that led me to this. Wish I had written everything down. Sorry. Didn't think it would lead to anything. I'm trying to retrace some of it for you.

Here is the article:

Death of D. W. Spangler.

"Daniel W. Spangler died this morning at his home, Tenth and Douglas streets, of heart disease. He leaves a widow and eleven children. Spangler came to Bellingham seven years ago and has since made this city his home. The announcement of the date of the funeral has not been made as some of the children are not in the city."

Bellingham Herald (Bellingham, Washington) Tue, Sep. 18, 1906, Vol. 15, Issue 156, Pg. 2

I have also found several people who have him listed as Daniel Webster Spangler. I don't know where they got that info from. I tried emailing one, but it was an old email address.

Hope this helps in some way if I haven't already sent it.

Webster Head stone
Thanks for taking the time! To get a pick of my grandparents head stone. Recently visited Missouri and was their visiting family. Visited my dad place of burial and took a pic of his head stone.

A M VanWinkle
Larry, I don't know if it was you or someone else, but I've been trying to figure out who A M VanWinkle was now for several years! I periodically go back and review those items I'm unable to resolve and I was floored that someone had figured out it was a female and her name was Amanda Melvina Winders-VanWinkle.

As a result, I've submitted a change to link Amanda with her husband, Eldridge Vanwinkle, who died in 1913 in Hemet, CA. I almost feel as though I've finally been able to reunite this family. If you played a part in this, thank you very much!

Daniel W. Spangler Mem #7970701
Hi, I'm looking to connect some Spangler family members for my dad's cousin - a descendant of the Spangler family. I am looking for a Daniel Spangler born around 1845-1850. His middle initial is either N or W. I was wondering if you could tell me if this Daniel W. Spangler originated in Illinois or what his parents' or siblings' names are. Any info you can give me would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
