RE: little Joe in Dragon,UT
Thank you so much. We were down there Sunday. George Long was involved with the Uintah Historical Society and he was the driving force for getting the sign put up where the train station used to be in Dragon,UT
He died last December, sure was a nice man and knew lots of history of that area. I hear there is a book he wrote at the Vernal library. Don't know name. They told me to ask for the "Blue Book" by George Long
My great grandma and my great aunt (who was married to George Lyman, a engineer on the railroad) ran the Atchee CO hotel. Lymans parent ran the Dragon hotel at one time. Lyman was in 3 wrecks and the last one over Baxter Pass, killed him. He was 37 and left two small boys. I got this info from "Uintah Railway" book by Roger Polley.
Is your grandfather still living?

little Joe in Dragon,UT
Do you know more on the location of graves in Dragon cemetery. Am I confused or do they lay north and south? I have a map from Vernal library but can't make since of it, (if) Tom Hale is really buried at the bottom of that huge rock. Looking for more information. Thank you

I have checked Bob's grave and there hasn't been a headstone added as of now. This process usually takes some time in this country. I drive by the Flaxville Cemetery on a regular basis and will get a picture as soon as the headstone is set.

RE: Claim Jumping
I'm sorry that I came across as rude. I didn't mean to be,(but was). We also enjoy spending time taking pictures. It's a good feeling to provide this service. To be able to help someone who might never be able to see their relatives graves in person, and also to further their genealogy work. I just thought that the person who did the page could pick which picture stayed and which didn't. I'm very sorry and I apologize for the message I sent. My daughter was very upset with me,(to say the least)! I've learned my lesson, and vow never to call anyone a claim jumper again! Please accept my apology.

Claim Jumping
When someone has already claimed, it is not proper to "claim jump". I don't think the time to "fulfill" on "Gerber" was up. There was a computer problem which prevented putting on the photo which was taken prior to the date of your picture. Thanks!
