Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a native Texan, born and reared in Northeast Texas. I have been researching my families for about thirty years, making me the family historian.
I have spent weeks, days, and hours in many states researching the courthouses and walking the cemeteries looking for my family.
Just recently I began placing memorials to my family members on findagrave; a wonderful website. The majority of my postings are my family.
I try to acquire photographs of my relatives; this makes me feel as if I actually know them.
I am a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Daughters of the Republic of Texas and genealogy is my passion.

Your tombstone stands among the rest
Neglected and alone
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished marble stone
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood and bone
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so
I wonder if you lived and loved
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot
And come to visit you

Mary E Cowley Butler
Emma would you please correct the info on Mary, her parents were William Craig and Sarah Jane (Dowdle). Their memorial numbers are 55537848 for William, and 55537859 for Sarah. Would greatly appreciate the correction. This way you can also tie her in with her parents. Thanks, Bob

Pamela Willbern
Willbern Family
Hi Emma, In Find a Grave, I read about my Great, great grandfather, Ferdinand Columbus (WC) Willbern. My Great-grandfather was Franklin Columbus Willbern and my Grandfather was William Columbus Willbern. My father was Andrew Jackson Willbern who moved to Oregon after WWII. My father died in a helicopter crash when I was 12, so I never got to ask him about his life growing up in Texas. The Memorial you wrote on FC Willbern in 2010 was wonderful. Thank you for writing it. My sister and I are interested in visiting Llano, Tx and I was wondering if it was difficult finding the grave site. It appears that Willbern's Glen is about 10-12 miles north of Llano. I bought the book The Old Man of the Glen by Roy Willbern a few years ago and enjoyed reading about family history. If we make it to Llano, would also like to visit San Saba where my father was born.

Joseph Stewart Pipe Creek Cemetery
Do you have an email address that I can email you a couple of pictures that I took of Joseph Stewart's gravesite on Monday? Thought you might like to see the current condition his gravesite is in. Thanks, In memory

Would it be possible for you to take a picture of the marker for Pvt.Virgil Ray Tucker? His grave is located just below his parents, Joseph Tucker (#68820764) and Dora Lee Lynch Tucker (#68818499).
Virgil Ray was killed during World War II at Leyte Gulf. He was stringing communication lines when he was killed by a sniper. His family would very much appreciate your consideration. Thank you.
Sharon Tucker (wife of Virgil Ray's nephew)

Thank you for linking Bob (PaPaw to us kids) to his parents. I was going to do the same for this lovely man whom my widowed grandmother married in 1964. He knew how to delight children and we adored him. Glad to see that his memorial is being given TLC.

Curious if you are related to the Doggett family at all. My line is Doggett>Terry>Norton. I'd love to connect if possible. Thanks!

Duke Family
Gordon Ferrell Duke was my husband's father. He noticed you maintain the memorial (#81504260), and that your last name is Duke, and would like to ask how you are related to Gordon? Thank you!
