RE: Theresa Andrews
Hello, GPOPPA!

Sorry to have taken so long to answer you!!! I have been busy with my maternal French Canadian ancestors.
Yes! The stone cutter made a mistake...the surname should be ANDREW!!! My paternal great Uncle Robert, my Nana and my other great Uncle Tom chipped in to purchase the gravestone for their parents at least 50 years after Teresa's and Thomas's deaths. By then, these children (orphaned when the sister was just 12 yo and the boys were 9 and 10 yo) were elderly and the 2 brothers were from a part of Rhodes Island a distance from Fall River. The siblings decided to leave the surname as ANDREWS since they felt it would be too much for them to deal with demanding a new stone. You will notice that Theresa should have been spelled "Teresa."

For some unknown reason, captcha is not working.. Sorry for adding this way to his memorial.

Dr. Roswell D. Hitchcock, D.D., LL.D. was a respected pastor, writer and educator. He served as president of Union Theological Seminary, president of the American Palestine Exploration Society, vice president of the American Geographical Society and was an editor of the American Theological Review.

Thank you for the quick reply and I have found another grave which looks similar and prominent from the same family. Hopefully see them both.
