I began doing family research in 1969 after my grandfather died. I inherited a box of letters and old pictures and was so upset that I didn't know who the people were. I continued gathering family stories and information for 12 years, when I packed away my notebooks to raise my family. It just got too difficult to go to the library with a 4 and a 2 year-old.
My husband and I got "the bug" again, and started doing research online. I'm so glad that I started while I could interview our grandparents and my great grandmother! Those stories are priceless.

I have seen in print where the Lebanon Baptist Association was responsible for placing the tombstone for the Rev Thomas Woolsey in this cemetery in the 1920s.

Yes, my dad's 1st cousin had the Stark DNA testing done and was a definite match. You can connect to either one. I haven't seen any activity on the other page though.

If there was already a memorial before mine I wasn't aware of it. I made mine probably around 6 years ago. Mine has been sponsored, so I kind of doubt it will be deleted but I really don't know. Are you a relative? William is my 9th great grandfather.

RE: Mary Jane Snyder Cowan
Sorry I missed her when I transferred her husband.
I am always glad to see memorials managed by relatives.

Cassandra (Adair) Box
Good morning, I am fairly new to this research (through, and have noticed something that is somewhat confusing. I had traced my family back through Cassandra Adair Box (6th great), and I see where her spouse is Henry Box Sr. and her parents are Lt. Joseph Alexander Adair, Jr. and Sarah Dillard Adair. However, if I look at the Find a Grave listing for Lt. Joseph Alexander Adair, his children are listed and Cassandra is listed as "Cassandra Adair McCrary (1767-1835)". I can not find any existing family trees for that name, but as I said, I am new to this and may not be looking in the correct way. Please let me know what you think.

Thank you,

Wendy (Bradley) Riggs

J. A. Ross
I was wondering if J. A. Ross from Walnut, Macon Co, Mo is the same as Johann "John" Ross? I have a picture of him I found in the 1897 Plat of Macon county

RE: William A BAKER #110956335
I don't know what has happened, but it is saying that memorial #110956335 is not found.... therefore I can't add the photo you have asked for. Next time I am in that area, I will take another photo.

Thank you! No not related - just going through funeral home records trying to fill in blanks for the memorials. You have me curious now though. If you prefer to keep it private, feel free to use my email above, but would be interested. :)
