Bio and Links
Bio Photo Every marker has a story to tell; sometimes I can be its voice

PLEASE use the Edit tab and Suggest a Correction link to add/correct information. I try to get to them within 24 hours of receipt.

I don't estimate birth years. The relatives of the dearly departed not only could get the date of death wrong on the monument but the age at death. Too many people take anything they find on the Internet as gospel, and I will not contribute to that bad habit.

PLEASE use the Edit tab and Suggest a Correction to request a transfer. Please include your relationship. I will not transfer out of guidelines. Please spare me the "I am the family genealogist" and the "I have tons of information to add" stories. Use the edit system. Too many people have requested out-of-guidelines transfers and then never added so much as a comma to the memorial. Requests for bulk transfers will be summarily ignored.

I WILL NOT link to a "burial unknown". This IS a grave registration site.

If I do not maintain the memorial, but add a picture, PLEASE check the photo caption for the inscription.

My love of old cemeteries is genetic from my dad. I try to take pictures of the fallen/damaged markers first as they might end up "behind the shed" or "over the wall" by the next time I get there.

Sources for additional memorial information include:
Suggest A Correction, NEHGS,,, NARA, other on-line sources, personal library, obituaries, newspaper items, etc.

Jane Wenzel
Thank you for creating the site for Jane Wenzel. I had no idea she was buried in Bridge Street.

I will be in Northampton in mid-August and would like to visit her actual grave stone. Can you give me a general idea of where I could find her stone?

She is the sister of my 2nd Great-Grandmother - Lizzie Mollison who is buried in Goshen, MA.

Thank you,
Koreen Miller

Hello, I submitted edit requests for dates and places and via e-mail to you to add two details to the Bio Section. The source was his obit. Thanks for having created his memorial. Paul Turner

Rose Morden was born in N.H. not MA. This information came from her half sister. I sent a correction. Thanks.

About Polly N. Packard
Since you created the entry for Polly N. Packard [], I was wondering if you knew any more about her. I've heard that she was classified as "idiotic" in census documents, but I'd like to know more about her as a person. I look forward to hearing from you.

Jacob Lovell -
I have deleted the memorial I had set up for Jacob; hope I successfully eliminated all signs so no ghost links. In working on this memorial again, I noticed for first time, father Joshua and son Jacob died within a short time of each other. [I need to quit my "working day" earlier, I guess so I do not get overloaded on ancestors.]

As we all know, markers can be/are too often incorrect - one L, two - no matter. I will have to get back to this later, this evening or tomorrow morning; have to leave soon for a day of medical appts. Want to also recheck my History of Weymouth, Vol. 3. (More fun than what I have to do today).

RE: Isaac Sheldon
I like the way you always get right back to me!

That virtual tour sounds exciting and interesting! Perhaps I shall join! And attend! I could sure use to know more!

Thanks! (I am not all that ambulatory, either. Wouldn't it be fun to have a tour using large wheeled chairs, sort of like for all-terrain vehicles.)

I did not find a Memorial for this Jacob Lovell in Village Cem. so I set up one; what is the memorial number of the one I "duplicated" and in which cemetery? My info came from the Corbin Collection and (2) lists from the Cummington Hist. Society, so now I am confused - ????

Dorcas Sheldon
Hi, I just put the plot # on Isaac's memorial page and went to his wife's, Dorcas, and found that HER stone is already on Find-a-Grave, and it's right next to The DORCAS is really big. They are right on the path, (not sure the name of it.)

Isaac Sheldon
Dear P.K.

Today I found an individual stone for Isaac Sheldon 1774-1862, in addition to the big group stone!
I thought you might like to photograph it, It's plot 210!!! I just started trying to familiarize myself with the cemetery. All I've known so far is the location of some ancestors the Smith (Henry Boynton) group, where *I* am, the Hopkins (cousins) and the Rev William Allen group.

Do you ever do tours for people like they used to at the historical society? I would like to meet you!

This Isaac Sheldon I spotted on the way to the Allens, and I jotted down the dates to see who it is. My direct ancestor Isaac is the great grandfather, I think, of this Isaac.

I thought maybe if I noticed some relatives, I could add their plot number to their F/G memorial page.

Thanks - Judy Shea
I didn't want to just put a photo request in b/c there are already 2 photos, so I thought I'd write you personally, hope that's okay.
