If you have ancestor buried at the Historic John Hunter Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant Tenn. Maury Co.|
there is a Facebook site Save Historic Hunter Cemetery Mt. Pleasant Tennessee and join the conversations about the condition of the ts and the damage in the cemetery.
Born and raised in Lewis and Maury County, Tennessee. Member of the National Society of Children of the American Revolutionary War.
Maury Co., Tn has many historical cemeteries. Many Rev. War soldiers are buried in Maury Co./Lewis Co. Tn., also many Civil War Generals, War of 1812, and their soldiers.
Cemetery preservation is very important to me and I try to list from actual cemetery visits and various book listings. I have been working with Wayne Austin for the last 10 years as a volunteer contributor for his project.
Please, e-mail me with any corrections or additional information that needs to be posted at any Maury County Cemetery where you see my name via the edit option on the memorial.
If I have posted a close relative of yours let me know and I will transfer. Please use the edit option on the memorial for updates, corrections and questions, my responce will be much faster, I don't have to look up the memorial by name that way.
1-14-2014 - Just noticed this: www.findagrave.com (Find A Grave) has started something new. Go to your Contributor Home Page and you will see an Edit Tab on the right hand side at the top. You will now need to approve or decline those edits submitted by users.

Hi Mary Bob.
I'm not sure if I understand your message. Can you please clarify? Thanks!
|Carole Dunn McKibbon||C L McKibbon # 33580017|
Would you please transfer Claude Mckibbon to me. I would like to add a short bio and link him to other family members buried in Bryant Cemetery. Thank you..Carole McKibbon
|Gloria Tune||Elizabeth Kennedy Weatherman Bailey|
Ok cousin, I did some digging on the Weatherman name and found a Revolutionary War pension application that spells out the whole story.
Our Elizabeth is NOT, could NOT, be this Weatherman woman, since she married this James Bailey (in the pension) in Surry County, NC on 20 March 1793 when OUR Elizabeth was only 7 years old.
Plus the James Bailey of this pension died in 1829, long before OUR James Bailey's death.
The pension mentions a Weatherman couple being in-laws of Elizabeth Bailey & goes on to say her maiden name was Runyan.
Whomever gave you that info didn't do their homework.
I'll email you the copies of what I found.
|Wayne Dugger||Harriet H Blankenship Dugger|
Harriet Dugger was my great, great grandmother. Your consideration in a transfer would be greatly appreciated.
|Wayne Dugger||Josiah Allen Dugger|
Josiah Dugger was my great, great grandfather. Milton Allen Dugger was my great grandfather, Willie Dugger, my grandfather and Grady Dugger was my father.
A transfer of Josiah Dugger would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your consideration.
|Neil Funkhouser||Francis Robinson|
Hi Mary Bob! I hope you are well. I have sent you a private message about Francis Robinson, but I am wondering whether you have received it. I would be very grateful for your consideration in this matter. Please let me know if you haven't gotten my message and I can write here. Thanks again!
All the best, Neil
|Kitty Lambert-Rudd||Memorial# 154474804 Tyre Noles|
Tyre "Tiny" Noles is an "umpteenth" great uncle of mine.
He was married to (not necessarily in order)
Nancy C STOCKARD
Helena C BAINS
Frances H BAIRD
I am not in my genealogy base as I type this so I can't give you any additional information other than he was born 13 March 1819 and died 14 Nov 1907.
Do you know anything about this Tyre Noles?
I looked through the cemetery and noted that there were no other Noles buried there, and that there were none of his wives family names listed either.
|Gina||Thank You, Mary Bob|
You have been busy recording my Lipscomb, Walker, Nelson, Cherry ancestors and others I haven't searched for in the Rose Hill Cemetery and the Greenwood Cemetery and probably others as well. I am so glad when I do a search for one of my relatives and find you have been before me and recorded the needed information. Thank you so much. Gratefully, Gina

I found his death cert, it lists John Chapman Gordon and Fannie Gillespie Gordan as his parents. Is it possible that the older William B Gordan is the brother of John chapman Gordan, and John named his son after his brother?
