Bio and Links
Bio Photo Looking for all 13 children and their families from Patrick William Corcoran and Emeline Amanda Alley. We are hosting a trip to Huddersfield, England 2011, County Mayo, Ireland 2012 and Lawrence, TN 2013. Richardson--in Carroll County, TN 2014. Hunter--in Arkansas 2015. We need everyone's help to follow our families trails!

We have over 12,411 family members with surnames of Corcoran-Hunter-Richardson-Zook-Moseley-Downing-King-Crowley and many more surnames on ancestry.com. And, over 18,459 family members on my maiden name side--Seifferlein and Leyes families from Germany to South Bend, Indiana. Besides our German heritage we claim French, Austrian, Swiss and Prussian royalty.

My mother, Elnora Lydia Seifferlein Leyes, has spent 74 years researching genealogy of our direct line. She traveled to Europe seven times to gain stamped records from the archives. She went to the Mormon Church in Utah before computers many times, to fill in missing family members dates and places.

Our line is much more complete because of her extraordinary efforts, starting with her grandmother in the 1940's and taking notes and using her newly purchased box camera to record family events.

Mom inspired the whole family to continue her work forward. I have taken many of these documents, newspaper clippings and photographs and placed them both on ancestry.com and here on findagrave.com. My sister did in-the-field research with my mom in the 1980's. My older brother is a historian who worked for the Smithsonian in Washington, DC. He is writing a book for the Library of Congress. He and I flew with mom and dad to Europe and spent three weeks going through the Land Archives to gather stamped records of our family. Thank you mom for inspiring us and seeing the value in preserving our heritage! And, many thanks to our cousins who have shared and helped fill in our family trees with stories, newspaper clippings and photographs.

We made a contribution to The Ellis Island Foundation--"The Wall of 700,000 Immigrants"--for Patrick William Corcoran's name was unveiled July 2011 in New York City. We paid for a headstone to mark his grave on Laurel Hill in April 2011. These two commemorate our first Corcoran family in America. We have a 9 generation wall chart. We are working on a book. We will share our GEDCOM file.

These lines included 3 European Royalties--Kings of England--Egbert, Henry I and Edward I. The famous Benjamin Crowley in Arkansas, are in our family, as well. We also have stories of our very poor families living in one room houses who were cotton mill workers, who never owned the house or the land beneath them. All of these make our lines "colorful" and fun to explore! Migrations are mostly from NY>VA>NC>TN>AR>AL on John's side. My side are through the Great Lakes, some stopped in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada and others into both Michigan and Indiana.

We believe genealogy should be free so living family members can connect. That's why we are adding some of our data here. We appreciate this site's opportunity, and we humbly thank the founder and his staff. Please give generously to this site to keep this tradition going.

Love hugs to all of my fellow genealogists who are so extraordinarly helpful. This is truely one gigantic puzzle that we spend thousands of hours on together. God Bless each and everyone of you for your humble part in preserving our sacred past! Thanks for being so nice and helpful.

PS
I added the Old Bethel Cemetery in Lawrence County, TN.

This Baptist graveyard is abandoned. It has one half Alley-Ashmores buried there. The stones are now illegible. If you have any knowledge of the people buried here or any photographs please share!

#128863491 Gottfried Wohlgemuth
On the memorial page for Gottfried Wohlgemuth, you have asked for death date and cemetery information for Gottfried's daughter, Margaret Wohlgemuth Dill. According to the death certificate I have, she died November 29, 1955 and is buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Youngstown, Ohio. The death certificate lists her parents as Fred Wohlgemuth and Louise Klein, so this should be the correct Margaret Dill.

RE: Thanks, RAP!
You are welcome. It was a fun day. I don't get to my northern cemeteries as much as I would like.

RE: Thank you for so many headstone photographs, Renee!
You are welcome for all photos ...happy to help where I can.

Cecilia Severin.....I found her in Sec 40 Lot 52 in between her parents Anton & Carolina.....Not in Sec 53 Tier 8. Total different locations.

Kataryna /Caroline....When I was in Sec 40 & found the 3 Severin headstones.....I not know Caroline = Kataryna until I got home & was fulfilling the request.....her headstone is labeled Carolina ....but I knew I was in the correct plot....so I put the "red flags" to take a "area" photo, when I was out there.

Schebil, Sophia & William......I searched all around for these 2 children, but could not find their flat headstones.....that is why I took the Schebil monument.
My suggestion.....call the office & verify if they both have flat individual headstones ....you can ask Mt. Olivet to have them "raised", then re-request photos.

Please note when headstones are 100 years old or so....they could have been sinking for a long time.....gets covered by grass to a point that we can not see any "depression" where a headstone might be.

Also sometimes it is hard to "pin-point" exact grave sites without a "plot map".....and not all "plot maps" the "mapped" same away. This makes it more confusing for volunteers.

Hope that clears up a few questions.

We went out again today to Mt. Olivet, so I got more of your requests to work on.

Cecelia Severin (Sewerin)
I found Cecilia in Sec 40 Lot 52 buried between Anton & Caroline.
I assume this is the correct person. I do not see Cecilia listed in the data base

RE: Fedy family thank you's...
Hi

I don't know if these Fedy's are related to you, have a look and let me know. I'd be glad to transfer the pages if they are:

Francis A. Fedy (husband) 182355894
Frances V Huck (wife( 182355934

There are alot of second generation in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery whose parents are in Saint Ignatius Roman Catholic Cemetery. The cemeteries are maybe 5 miles apart.

Have a good day.

RE: Thank you again for your travels to Macomb Cty...Gerard,
I didn't know there was a photo of Fredricka until I placed the new photo on her memorial. I wrote to the other volunteer to please use the fulfill button when placing a photo and that will eliminate the request so we don't get doubles, I don't believe she was too happy with me.
Fred's stone was completely buried.

RE: Robert Flanagan
Acacia Park Cem., no Find A Grave memorial last time I checked. Yes, a misspelling. You had it as Flannigan. Your request was for Carrie Flannigan and possibly husband Charles. No Charles in Cem. record books, but a Carrie Flanagan, Section R, Lot 376, no marker. Took photo of lot, which included gravestone of Robert Flanagan on April 24 of this year.
Also, you recently said you wanted photo of GS of Audrey Austin. I have it, so set up a memorial and photo request for that. We will be glad to supply the photo. Thanks.

RE: Zimmer headstone instead of Stroh?????
Problem Solved...

The St Clement's your request was publish was in the Old Preston-Cambridge Cemetery. St Clements is about 30 Km's apart. I have not been to the town of St Clement's St Clement's cemetery. I will get there... If you are not in a hurry I'll get there next year....as I head to South America at the end of the month until mid- November. I will try and get there before I leave...
