Bio Photo Please let me know if any of my posted information is erroneous so that it can be corrected but please use the edit/request features at the memorial in question. As a genealogist, I adhere to the BCG standards. Thus,I believe that memorials should report the information as it appears on the headstone in the cemetery; however, I will add family and vital information if it is sourced. I've had many friendly conversations with gravers who feel otherwise, but no loved one is honored if the community is inadvertently misled.

My headstone photos are freely available to the community as long as used for your family research and I am credited for my work. I do not own the copyright on any family photos unless otherwise indicated-use at your own risk!

RE: Susan Stewart
Thanks for the heads up on the date error I don't know why I had a date there at all as the last record I have found for her is the 1910 Census, Spalding Co., Ward 4, Griffin, GA. Hope all is well with you and yours. Again thank you for all you do with family history in general.
I spoke to the funeral home at Westwood in Griffin and you were correct in the thought that the Clark Morgan Dickinson cemetery was moved from the original homeplace by the Vulcan company who purchase the property. Vuclan purchased the back lot at the cemetery and had the graves moved.

RE: Alex Rowell, Elmwood cemetery
Glad to have been able to help. Sorry I did not see his spouse's marker; if you call the cemetery office and find her location, I will photograph that for you.

Alex Rowell, Elmwood cemetery
I photographed his marker today. There is no sign of his wife Dorothy, although there is an empty space next to his, where I presume she is buried. If you wish to confirm this, please call Elmwood at (205) 251-3114 and get the block and lot for her; if she's buried elsewhere, I can go photograph that for you. If she's buried next to him, you're welcome to post the 'long shot' I took of their plot on her memorial.

The wrong parents are attached to this Find A Grave site. His parents are Henry Thomas Hancock (1854-1930) and Mary Elizabeth "Mollie" Marshall Hancock (1863-1931). (Mollie is buried in Concord , GA, we have not found out where. This is my Great Grandmother's family. Please remove. Thank you

John, thank you for connecting Thomas H., Memorial# 35275391, and Susan A. Bartley as spouses.

I could not agree more with your first paragraph above regarding BCG Standards.

Hello John, very Nice Memorial for this Fine Soldier. I was wondering..Do you think he was a member of The United Confederate Veteran's? I am very interested in them, and am also trying to acknowledge on Find A Grave.
One of My Great Grand Father's, was a member of the Macon UCV R.W. Smith Camp. Blessings, Cindy.
