I have a passion for anything old; antiques, histories of old communities, and especially old cemeteries. The more I photograph and transcribe them, mainly in Nevada County, California, the more I learn about the people. That is what is most fascinating to me. I have a Bachelors Degree in History and hope to continue to photograph the old headstones for many years to come. I believe in preserving the old cemeteries and documenting the markers left by old pioneers.

RE: Robert Hunt Organ
Hi Kat,
I see you have a picture of a stone for both Clemens and MerleJean Organ. It looks like it's blank on the one side. Is it blank on the other side? The previous caretaker of the cemetery said there was a marker that said, "In Memory of MIMI" with a date of 1987, that matches to the year of death for MerleJean. I'm assuming MIMI was her nickname and am looking to get a picture of that marker as well. Thanks! Mimi Pascale in NJ

Robert Hunt Organ
I've submitted an edit request for Robert to update his DOB to 9/13/1866. Plot 183 has 3 markers. This was one of them. Can you take a picture of the other 2 markers and e-mail them to me? The other temp marker says, "Robert Organ", I think. There is a 3rd marker that says,"In Memory of Mimi" with a date of 1987. This is the plot where Robert Hunt Organ, Teresa Glunz Organ, son Clemens Robert Organ and wife, Merle Jean Glunz are buried. They are distant cousins of mine. (I live in NJ) I have all the DOB and DOD info for them, which I can send you. I'm considering putting in new temp markers for them.
Thank you. Mimi Pascale
