I am always happy to transfer a memorial to a family member closer in relationship than I am. Just let me know which ones, using the edit tab in the upper right and then under "suggest a correction" ask for the transfer of the memorial and include how you are related.|
I have been doing genealogy for 47 years and have published family history books for my parents, my husband's parents, my daughter-in-law's family and my son-in-law's family. I am a retired librarian and have traveled with my husband as we volunteered to help build Habitat for Humanity homes all over the country. We have visited all of the cemeteries of known direct ancestors for all our families; I have loved adding them all to this wonderful website.
My genealogy is downloaded to the World Connect Projects link at Rootsweb.com. I have 7 gedcom databases, accessed by typing in the database name in the "jump to specific database" box or by searching by name and looking for my entry with one of the database names below:
gravleesellers, druinlewis, macyblair, barchliger, lewisadams, rudisilltrigg or fieldmasser.

|Austin William Smith||RE: Charlton Ford Cemetery|
I just noticed in my tree that one of Mary Smith's sons, Cunningham Smith (1770-1841) married a Sarah Jones in 1834. I saw there are some Jones buried in Charlton Ford Cemetery, so a possible connection there.
|Austin William Smith||RE: Mary Smith transfer|
Thank you for the transfer. Her maiden name was Cunningham. Unfortunately, I don't know much about her before she was married, her parents, or siblings. I have a copy of her will from Rutherford County, but it mainly refers to her children. Her husband, William Smith, died in 1783 in Orange County, NC before she and some of her children moved to Rutherford County, TN. What I do know about this family comes primarily from their wills and land deeds. Right now, I don't recall any mention of a Peyton or Trigg in any of the documents I've seen, but I am still in the process of researching this portion of my family. I'll let you know if I turn anything up in the future.
|Yellow011||RE: Sarah Peyton Vance cem survey|
I got the survey from a Rutherford county historical society member, I do not remember her name but you may be able to contact the society and find out who did it and then contact her. good luck, the error could be her or me, I do not have a copy of the survey
|Linda Morris Croy||Ida Mae Barnett Trainer Morris|
Do you have any documentation as to which cemetery she is buried in. I have been unable to find a death certificate or anything that indicates which one. She is listed in both the Martinsburg & Mount Washington Cemetery books. Thanks.
|Yellow011||RE: Sarah Peyton Vance's memorial|
I got the data from a member of the historical society who took a census of that cemetery. sorry for the error
|Ed Gensemer||RE: John Drenkle|
Diane, My daughter has a picture of John's stone from Charles Evans which I posted to his Aulenbach's memorial. I have sent an edit to correct the memorial based on the stone. I will have my daughter check to see who is buried next to him and to see if it is noted that he was moved to Aulenbach's. I will keep you posted.
|Love in Family||RE: Louis, Cornelia & Milledge Brown|
the brown family members I took photos of are on a corner as you come into the cemetery under the double arched entry there are only four graves the elder Louis and wife have a standing headstone, the son Milledge and his wife as do the parent haave slabs of gray granite if the jr louis was cremated he could be buried here however I didn't add this photo to his memorial as there are many graves not yet photographed yet in this vast cemetery. I will keep looking and pass this along to another I know takes photos in this cemetery frequently. Happy Hunting ! Bren
Thank you so very much for the great, clear photo of my g.g.g.g.grandfather's headstone! Living in California, I haven't been able to make the trip to Kentucky, so I sincerely appreciate your gift.
